    Transparency Issue

I am having like a serious problem with the latest skin I'm working on. I reskinned one of the shoulders, but when i zoom in for a closeup, the trim on it goes transparent. This is so frustrating... I've tried everything, I've exported it as a PNG, as a TGA, and as a BLP converted to PNG. I get the same results with all of them except the BLP converted to PNG is jacked up, but I suspect that's normal. But what's weird is the trim on the other shoulder, which I have not even edited, is acting up as well o.O.

Here's a pic of my problem:

I will SO +Rep whoever helps me fix this!

    Please help!

Try saving your PNG file in indexed color mode if you got photoshop.

Wow just mess things up with textures and such, that's all. I don't know if indexed will solve your problem but for me it does 99% of the time if my texture is showing unappropriate.

Ow lol now I see it. Well upload the BLP and I see what I can do, it seems you either experimented with transparency or you just messed up the colors. Did you even hold on the even size? Like 256 x 256 for example, not something like 234 x 215

    Here it is

    Treepath:

    Item\ObjectComponents\SHOULDER\RSHOULDER_PLATE_RAIDPALADIN_F_01BLUE.BLP

Also, the problem only occurs when zoomed in close.

Edit: the glow will not be teal like it is in mine, because i'm using 2 other BLPs

    Just like I thought.

You see those spots? You made them transparent yourselve. So if you just reskin those places properly without any transparency on it it would be fine.

I would advice you to do it all over again, unless you know how to fix it.

Hm okay well let me know, else reset your photoshop settings. But those spots are the cause of it why it's going transparent.

    Okay.

I tried it and you are right, the parts are indeed transparent.

    Do the following thing:

Open the PNG file. BUT in paint. Click save as, and save it as PNG again, click yes if it asks to overwrite.

Convert it with .PNG > BLP

And then upload it into the MPQ.

If done correctly it isnt transparent anymore.
