    [QUESTION] Skinning/Texuring Problems

I am trying to create a skin for herbs/ores etc. to spruce them up a bit or possibly make them flashier (to spot easier.) As much as you may look down on me for this, I can simply find irony as to the fact that you are on an exploit site. For those who don't detest me however, here is my failing battle plan and the problems.

I am playing on a 2.4.3 official US Server btw.

    1. Extract BLP(2?)s for the herbs/whatever with My Warcraft Studio (MWS for later use)
    2. Convert to PNGs with BLP2PNG (I believe,) edit with Photoshop
    3. Convert back to BLPs
    4. Create MPQ archive with MWS and add the files (Peacebloom02.blp, Peaceflower.blp, and Silverleaf.blp. These are the tests, other herbs come later.)
    5. Copy the original files' treepaths and paste them on the new BLPs.
    6. Name new MPQ to "Patch-3.mpq" or later... "Patch-5.mpq."
    7. Start WoW and weep at my failure.

Then one night while I was crying myself to sleep I decided I should get help via the Internet. I eventually came here to find I would get reprimanded and later tortured for posting questions in the wrong forum (I'm exagerating, they don't yell at you ) but I had to try something so anyone that can help, please do.

My problem is they simply have no effect, the game doesn't crash, the don't appear bright blue or anything else odd. They just aren't there. Any help? I'm thinkin about backing up Common.mpq or whatever then simply adding the BLPs to the original Common.mpq but I fear bannishment. Any help is appreciated  Muchas Gracias a todas personas

EDIT: I later capitalized the extention to no avail. I may upload the MPQ simply for the sake of other people checking it for problems

I was going to say to make sure that yoyr file is 'patch-5.MPQ' (Lowercase 'p' and capital MPQ) but if I understand you figured that out already. Upload it and a link to a virus scan please and I'll take a look at it for you later tonight.
