Itemcache Weirdness! Need your input!

So, weird thing happened last night. With Glitchy's MES model swapping is a breeze and I think I've gotten the hang of it now. So I've done all this on my PC... then decided to do it on my laptop. Here is the 411

PC has my original cd type of download.... both pre bc and BC
Laptop has pre bc download from their website.... used my BC cd's for BC install

So I installed Glytchy's MES, loaded up the itemcache (yes there was 1 to begin with!) changed things around... convert... then done. I then Log in the game... and nothing changed.... at all!

So I try it a few more times. with 2 different accounts! (which shouldnt matter even if 1 account was a collector's edition right?) And still nothing!

So then I decided to do the right thing! Delete and Log In! So thats what I did... delete itemcache.wdb log back in... do a /dance inspect some ppl here and there... log out. Go into My Computer, track down the enUS folder.... and BAM.... no itemcache.wdb... AT ALL! I /afk crying for a bit... decided to log back in... both accounts... log out... and still nothing. So I'm like... GREAT! while scratching my head of course.

I log in MMOwned, pick up my Itemcache from my PC, brought it to my folder, did some changing... and... still nothing. To my surprise, the collector's edition account isnt showing up in my WTF folder under accounts as well!!

So the issue:

Itemcache.wdb doesnt seem to reload when I log in
Changing things around doesnt seem to do anything as well

The Questions:

WHY! What is wrong!?
Could it be the Collectors Edition?
Could it have been the Install on the laptop (It being from blizzard's site and not a CD)?
Could it have been the BC install (Used my original CD's)?
Could it be the fact that WoW hates me? Or maybe just TOshiba?

I think thats about it >.< Works like a charm on the PC, so I'm leaning towards the Install on the Laptop. But why would it do that? Grrrr Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

So... what does that mean exactly? How come it worked in my PC and not the Laptop? Please elaborate and enlighten me on what to do.

maybe your cache folder or itemcache.wdb is write-protected?

hmmmm i doubt it... still doesnt explain why a new one wouldnt pop up...
