[Question] 3dsMax not loading .m2

Yeah, since I forgot to tag my post, here goes again:

When I try to open my extracted .m2 file in Autodesks 3dsMAX nothing happens. When I try using the included gun.m2 in the folder from Mudkips thread, it works perfectly fine.

I tried to make it .obj, but lack of explanation on what to do didn't help me.

So can anyone help me on how to make it load? Thanks in advance.

I think you have to convert the .m2 file to .3ds file before you can edit it in 3dsMax.. There's a program in Mudkip's thread that can do that. When you're done it can convert it back to .m2 aswell!

I am using a script from the program from Mudkip's thread, and it works fine with the gun.m2 included in it, but it doesn't work with the helm skin I want to edit.

Convert to OBJ using Glitchys MES, then open OBJ in milkshape and export as 3ds, and your good to go.
