    Question: How to make a weapon appear on my back?

    Greetings Community,

    Recently I have been learning to model edit my characters gear. I am getting fairly decent at it but have run into a snag.

    I changed my rogues S3 Swords into Warglaives of Azzinoth, but I noticed that they appeared on the side of my character and not on its back. I use a program to edit my item cache, and was wondering how I use it to make the item also appear on the characters back.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Delete your item cache. It redownloads when you log into wow.

    1) find the durability of your item (example: 105)

    2) convert that number from decimal to hex (example: 105 converted to hex = 69)

    3) now search in the area around the hex codes of your item for that hex key. don't search the entire itemcache, just the area where that item is. it usually appears a bunch of lines below the text string, just a few lines before the text string of the next item (example: search for hex code, 69). if you search and you land on a digit in the text string, ignore that because that's not the one.

    4) count 20 slots back and you will find a single hex code already there, numbered
    01 to 05.

    5) change that.
    01 = back sheath (2h)
    03 = side sheath (1h)

    any weapon can be back or side sheathed, doesnt matter.

    6) save

    Ya, sorry its getting late, I meant to respond to someone else, don't know how I posted here. Anyway the guy above me is right. The sheathe ids are also in Glitchy's help file. Use the WDB editor in Glitchy's MES. Its a lot easier than the Hex Editor.
