For Demonkunga - how do you do it?

I signed for these forums yesterday. Basically because I wanted to fix the feral range bug to some extent. Reading through the forums I found some nice stuff and wanted to do my own model swaps.

I started out by attempting to change the bear model. With the MPQ Editor I extracted the beargod.m2 (ignoring the kins) and created my own patch-6.mpq creating the following:

    CREATURE/DruidBear/DruidBear.m2
    CREATURE/DruidBear/DruidBearTauren.m2

To my big surprise it worked. Next task: Change the Cat Form model. Now that I already started using the ZA models I wanted to replace that with the lynxgod.m2 which I extracted from patch.mpq. I then added it to my patch file as

    CREATURE/DruidCatTaurenDruid/DruidCatTaurenDruid.m2

The next surprise: It did not work

I then tried the tigon model which did not work either. Basically I was unable to get pretty much any model to work instead of the cat form. Then I found a thread called "For demonkunga ( tigon issue )". I cannot link to it - I can't create links.

Basically you were able to get the tigon model to work - I was not. So my question to you is:

What the hell did you do to make it work?

    CREATURE/DruidCatTauren/DruidCatTauren.m2
That's what I named it - typed it wrong in the original post. Result was - it did not work.

Well now I donated since it was probably worth it. However, I'm not after that. The thing was that Demonkunga's tigon edit worked - mine did not. Was something done to the tigon to make it work? If that was the case - what was that something?

    I'm horde.

Basically I created a new file called patch-6.mpq. I then extracted lynxgod.m2 from creature\lynxgod (patch.mpq).I added it as as DruidCatTauren.m2 into the CREATURE\DruidCatTauren path.

    I also tried with creature\tigon\tigon.m2 and creature\tigon\tigonmale.m2.

The result was the same. Game crash. Search for "tigon catform". You will get a thread result in which Demonkunga managed to change the cat form with the tigon mode. All I want to know is how the hell that was done. Some modifications to the model or..?

i was able to get it to work kinda meaning none of the animations were change like you cant /dance or sit or anything but you do look like the tigon i made allys the female one and the horde the male one try using tigonmale.m2 also use a blp too and for horde the blp name is DruidCatTaurenSkinBrown.blp i renamed TIGONSKIN_ORANGE.BLP to DruidCatTaurenSkinBrown.blp and TigonMale.m2 to DruidCatTauren.m2 i hope this is helpful and btw i am on a mac so for this methed you dont need model edit fix but you wont have all animations like dance sit etc.

I found out what I did wrong. For some reason the MPQ editor I used encrypted the data I added. When I deselected that option everything was fine.

    Now I'm a beargod and a lynxgod
