Alpha WoW Into WoTLK

I'd like to first state I do not take credit for this patch. I found it from someone off the net named akspa420 and decided to share since it's such an amazing find.

This is still the same version I'm using on my own private server. There's an issue regarding some areas due to the map files that the private server may have, so pathing for npc's is somewhat broken, and some objects are missing - mostly due to either them not existing in the WOTLK files, or not being able to be converted to the current WMO/M2 format. I've begun looking at ways to make the WMO's from the alpha client work in 3.x, but it will be a long time before I can get anything working. At the current moment, I'm investigating manually rebuilding the WMO files by hand, which I'd rather not do, and would rather find a way to script the disassembly of the old WMO format, then the reconstruction of said WMO into a new file. I think this may be the only way to get alpha ironforge in the game.

About alpha wmo's, MirrorMachine can convert these files (i'm sure you know this tool). It works on smaller ones (in my case) the bigger one ( like SW) make client crash.

I have never heard of this tool before. It seems to like the small ones, but not the big ones. Even so, that's better than the 'by hand' approach I was going to take. A lot better. Thanks for informing me about this tool!
