Another way!

Its really simple, no offence.

You do a search for the item you have.
You should see the name of the item you searched for 2-5 times.
Click on the last letter of the last time it says the name on the item.
In most cases, you should see a box then 2 symbols, then more boxes.
Get the hex code for the item you want yourself to look like.
Click on the first symbol (step before last)
Go to edit>over wright
Now type in the hex code for the new item in the box.
Click "OK"
Press ctrl+s or go to file>save
Close out of the hex editor.
Open WoW.
You shouldnt see different on the character selection screen.
Log in.
Enjoy your new look!

Does this still work? I do it for the stuff that I want, in this case, Nightscape headband. I follow the instructions but right below where it says to look it doesnt go like

00 XX YY but more like
00 00 00 XX YY 00 00

I tried changing it the second way but it does not work. it does it like this for most items.

You are in the itemcache, right? not itemnamecache or somthing?
