Do you place the MPQ files in the Data map in World of warcraft files to make the edit work?

Human Female to Night elf female does not seem to work...I put the MPQ in data and when I start the game up theres no human females at all..they are all invisible lol

This doesn't work for me. My character disapear when I use any of the MPQ files.
Im not sure if I should be using MEF. The only one I've been able to find is Kynox's which doesn't work anymore.

hmm, trying to make my orc female -> Tauren Male, but it dosnt work:S I have to rename the patch-2.MPQ file to another name cause i allready have a file called patch-2.MPQ and that is for the game so I cant delete it, and when I try to re-name it to; patch-z.mpq, my orc is invicible and it is just bugged when I log on, pls help

Seems as if Im not the only one experiencing their toons as 'invisible' when logging in.

Or perhaps thats what I get for playing a femtaur?
