an easy way, not always works, but worked for me on some, is changing the CreatureDisplayInfo, and swapping the model through there (not the textures, the model)

Might be a little late but I'm sure a lot of people would like a guide on adding special effects to models. For example adding glows to mounts.

zone-name-chaning: should be AreaTable.dbc. there is a guide somewhere iirc.

Perhaps a guide on swapping NPCS? I don't know if ive looked hard enough but I don't know where to find certain NPC's .m2's such as Stormwind Guards etc.
ALthough I am sure I saw a HUUUUGE list of tonnes of textures for npcs
