    1. Don't double post.
    2. Are you stupid? Read the post above you, and read the instructions that came with the program, it's really not hard.

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Thanks a lot Chaz, I got it to work but it seems that if I have a character that's being model edited and it logs in to view that character first it crashes, so I exited the game, and start it up again with a character I didn't model edit, re focused on the MEF after logging in and hit home, went to the character I have model edited and it worked. I dunno if that's the way to do it specificly or not.

Or am I supposed to have all edits out of the data folder until after I'm logged in, hit home and put them back in the data folder?

I hope I made some sense in this post...

Not working, no idea how you got it to work, but i did everything correctly and it still crashes.

Your main must be a warlock.

EDIT: I give up. Not working at all.

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Aight sHmA, log out of the game, click a character that isn't being model edited (I have Undead Male for example, and the character I'm fixing (model editing) is an Undead female -> Undead Male).

So, I log out of the realm, choose my Undead Male (Not the Female that I'm fixing) and log in with the Male, then log back out/exit or exit.

Start up the MEF and once WoW has loaded and it asks you to log in, hit END. Type your User name and Password, then hit log in, then before you choose the model edited character (my Female Undead) hit HOME.

That's the way I did it and it worked, I haven't found another way that doesn't make me crash=/

Or maybe I'm just doing something stupid and making all this extra work for myself.

(By the way the whole point of this is so you don't view the character you're model editing right away when you log in, because you crash if the MEF is ended and it sees the patch-#, aka the model edit.)

[EDIT]: Spelling, and added a few words.

[EDIT #2]: By the way my main isn't a Warlock rofl, but I get where you're coming from. Nerf locks.
    I am not OP'd

[WOW EDIT #3]: I hate double posting (hence the 3 edits) BUT I will experiment with it later or wait for Chaz to get back and hope he replyyys to me

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Demon, that's what I do but when I log into the game with a recently played model edited character (I see the model edited character FIRST when I get on) it crashes.

Let me know if I'm not making any sense...

[EDIT]: Ok...so now I tried to press HOME while it was validating and logging me in before it got to my character list and logged me in fully. It worked, I dunno if this is still the way to do it but if it is I'll feel like a complete idiot.
What I was doing before is waiting for it to fully log me in and get to my character list, which crashed me

ANYWAYS, thanks a lot Demon and Chaz for keeping Model Editing alive<3

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Uh...when did they patch it? The current PTR fix chaz uploaded still works...
And I never said model editing was dead if you're referring to me.

Oh okay, when you press END make sure you tab out and click the MEF so that it works.
Ending/pausing the program kind of hides it from blizzard I assume, so make sure you press END before you log in.

Cause...I'm using it right this minute
