i had that problem to... but i got warcraft 3 and frozen.. stoped shout after i had latest version (i had a litle problem whit the game runing..but saying it whasent installed >< needed to re install:S) but get 1.21 Frozen throne (then it worked 100% for me..) Hope i can suport whit somthing made some (or loads) of warcraft 3 editing ah...if we only culd get Black_stan to this project hes war3 models PWNS!..

just got the converter down trying to use words or sumthing to change to english (if it ant already><) got from: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...ng-to-mdl.html Needed to steal the Storm.dll from my Warcraft 3 folder to make it run thought... and ye its in pure rus >< maybe can figure it out anyway...i hope.

Sounds great, Frezzingheath, are there any chances that you'd upload the storm.dll? I haven't got WC3 :/
Anyways, hope it still works since people say that the structure of their m2 files changed in patch 2.0 :/

Okay, dunno if this is good news, but I tried opening one of the 1-handers from aq-40, and it looked like this:


The program is able to save files into MDX files, which should be the same as M2, correct me if I'm wrong, found the info on:

Also the program complains ablout a missing dll, as far as I can see.

No, or think you can change them a little (connecting vertexes *thinks its called that* and so) But use a 3D program first. Try Blender, you can download it free at www.blender.org. Then save as mdl, 3ds or whatever and use this program to export to mdx

Just use shortcuts like Ctrl+O ( open ) and so on ....

Hi i would like to join too,... i like the idea and everything but there one little prob with me,... i suck a everything like modelediting,...

but i have an idea,... dont know if its possible to maybe use the deathknight from http://www.wow-europe.com/wrath/ and maybe some of the pictures and the texture as loginscreen instead

the point whit that Mdlvs is that it can make MDX and MDL files out of M2 and reverse.. so you can use another converter to make it into some sort of a 3d file so it can be opened in a 3d editor (im trying to make a little improvement on us female gnomes whit this... if posible (it is) i whil change some animates like spell cast, dance or such..) and then converted back into a M2 file get in a patch-#.Mpq shuld be working! (going to test..)

Iunno if it makes a diffrence, im close friends with a emupedia admin, he says that logon screen was just photoshopping with the lich dude, dunno if hes ****ing with me or not lol

Thats a new version of the Frostmourne I'm making 100% done with Maya.

And BTW, Maya can export this to .ma, .mb, .mov (lol), .* (?), .fbx, .dfx, dae
So I'm going to try and find some plugins or something so i could save it as .OBJ or .MDX or w/e.


@jimmbo506, I'm making a Ice Crown Glacier / Frozen Throne with Maya, so if we get it converted to .M2 somehow, we can use it as the "Dark Portal" in the login screen.
