[Sound Swap] Priest Penance to Street Fighter 'Hadouken'

Hey all. This file changes the sound for a priest's Penance to a Street Fighter "Hadouken!!" yell.

My main being a priest, I couldn't help but notice how the penance spell kind of looks like a hadouken from Street Fighter. One thing lead to another and well, here we are.

Just drag the Sound folder from this RAR into your Data folder.

    World of Warcraft\Data\Sound\Spells\Priest_Pennance_MissleLoop.wav

    Hadouken!

Blizzard actually has the sound spelled that way.

Hmm, not sure why you can't get them to work to be honest.

I wasn't able to get this to work, mainly because there is no sound folder in my data directory. I still extracted it there but its not working. *shrug*

By Sound, did you mean adding it to the MPQ? Because the way you have it setup makes it look like it should be in a folder.

ADD: I did modify the sound.mpq to change the sounds and rebuilt it with the new sounds except the extensions were different. The priest was .wav instead of ogg. And there wasn't anything in the the GoblinTrike Folder for sounds. I was too lazy to convert the wavs so I just ran it. Then it looked like it was downloading something, and all of my sounds were back to normal. *shrug*

You didn't try dragging the whole sound folder into your data folder? You shouldn't have to mess with any MPQ files.

Open the rar, drag the Sound folder from the rar into your data folder. Should work like a charm.

In your data folder, there is a folder called cache, delete it and try again.

Awesome sound swap. Only problem is that when you use penance close to the target or you have a lot of haste, the sound won't sound clear. But good fun any ways.

Is there a way to make this sound work for Lava burst instead of penance? Thanks in advance.

Maybe try this addon? I haven't tried it.

It may be better to use an addon then to change the files. The sounds lava burst uses when it fires off is a universal fire noise. You might get sick of hearing Hadoken real quick. Want to see for yourself? Here you go.

I've tried the addon yes, it's outdated and doesn't work. Trying the other link you posted now.

Edit: The sounds works like a charm for all fire spells. Thanks!

Edit 2: Is there a way to add other sounds, i've got other hadouken soundfiles that sounds better but i can't use them. I tried to use the same names as the files in your link but it didn't seem to work.
