Changing transporters = Awesomeness

Hi, after years of "surfing" these forums, I finally decided to contribute with something, something I havnt seen yet on this site, which is kinda weird since it's so easy to do.

It's something I found back in vanilla WoW, patch 1.12 to be exact. A friend of mine and I were experimenting alot with model changing back in the days, after awhile we were kinda out of ideas, but then I saw that the transporter files were .WMO files, which lead us to this.

This is actually pretty interesting, reminds me of the exploration videos that were made in 1.12;
players were able to fly over the sea with incredible speed and pass the ADT borders.

in-game you can do .go select or whatever command you use. And you'll find the transporter.. So how to change it, should be server-side :O

Loved that part of Nogg-Aholic the Movie, the old way to Outland from Booty Bay etc. :>
And ye, I uploaded the movie a few years ago, was supposed to use it in a movie, but that never happend.

Only a WMO change, but ye... I figured it would be fun to share it, maybe someone could do something cool with it, since I never got to try it for real.

You're wrong about one part...getting summoned to Tanaris won't help you see GM Island...GM Island is actually located on the Teldrassil map...unless you are implying that starting from Tanaris will somehow align you to be able to see GM Island in Teldrassil by taking a different route...

That's correct, partly.

As you can see in the movie, I'm stuck on the boat (untill I remove the patch), which is why I said that if you were able to get to Tanaris, you would probably get to see GM Island.

EDIT1: I do know where GM Island is, and that it is on the Kalimdor map.

I would think that getting on a boat going northwest and running to the north western border of kalimdor would get u to gm island, not tanaris. I would think going from darkshore, passing darnassus all the way till the end of the map there is a chance of getting there

It looks like people loose the point here, the thing is that I can't get off the boat by running! Which means I will be stuck on the boat till I HS to another continent etc.
Which means, I will be thrown around Kalimdor the farther I run away from the boat, as you could see in the first movie, I got thrown too Ashenvale pretty fast, and I weren't even half-way to Tanaris by then...

If you still don't get it, try it... you would probably understand.
