[Druid] Taking all shape-shifting requests

I've been trying to learn how to make my own druid model edits but the guide Ice pointed me to is a little old. The fields shown in DBC editor don't hold the same values the guide shows.

Probably has something to do with patch 3.1.1 and such. Could anyone get me up to date on how to make model patches in 3.1.1?

That guide works just fine. There's nothing that's been changed, it's still how DBC edits are done.

No, as far as I know, Blizzard cannot detect, nor do they care about, simple model edits such as these. They care about exploitational model edits, such as Baron runs and crap like that.


EDIT: Also, I'd like to reiterate that I am indeed continuing with the edits, it's just taking longer to get all of my ducks in a row. But, once I do, the whole editing process should go much faster than it does right now.

If you would have read the thread, you would have seen that I am not shutting out leechers from edits, merely from many edits together.

Furthermore, I doubt your "account deletion" story, because that account has been active since 2007, but it's a good thing that I don't have to believe you to do a model edit.

I'd love to swap the

alliance tree of life form skin with that of the Crystalline Keeper

- the white/lilac trees in the Nexus. I've been searching through the forums for ways of doing this but I found no way of finding the skin for the Keeper in the data libraries. Would it be a case of recolouring the tree of life skin by hand to that of the Keeper? Or is a straight skin swap possible?

I'm not sure if it's doable, but a Tauren Druid -> Elder Ironbranch would be amazing. Also, Night Elf Druid -> Elder Brightleaf would be another good fit.


If possible, reducing his size for both would make things look a lot more legit.

Those two are gorgeous Retribution. I saw those in the files and tried to go about swapping 'EntBrown' or whatever the druid ToL is for something but couldn't work out what to do in the database files with the six or so entries.

I did actually find the skin for the Crystalline Keeper, its under the Ent model called light blue or something. But I'm still not sure how to swap the skins over.

If anyone could post a guide (or direct me to one posted) on how to change ToL to another creature, I would be very happy to post what I make for others.

If Possible, could you make a Tauren Moonkin - a Female Sunwell Elf (the ones with wings from the trash packs going towards Twins)? Tried this myself but I ended up breaking my files and having to reinstall.
