[Race Swap] Human Male (HuM) to Undead Male (UdM) - nearly perfect 3.0.3

Hey Guys =)

Since this Forum and the guides people wrote in here, taught me all that i know about modelediting, I thought I might just give something back that people might wanna have =P.

I allready managed to do a perfect race swap from different races to UdM pre WotLK. I didn't play since mid Season 3 (as u can see @ the screen ^^), that's the reason why i didn't release my fix in the old days. Since the time back then, a few things changed in the needed DBC file.

So here we go now ^^

Full swap, in the optical way. No Soundfiles included!
Jaws -> Fixed (to a normal jaw, don't like the others ^^)
Eyeglow -> Fixed
Helms -> Fixed
Bonecolor -> Fixed
Beards -> removed

- Known issues -

Scalp hair, i really don't want to mess around with those blps... u will notice what i mean by "hairy scalps" =)
Client crash when playing as a human rogue and try to stealth - may occur, can't test it myself... haven't got time to look for a solution. Any other class should work fine.

I couldn't manage to get the MPQ to work with the WoWME.exe I usually use. Kynox posted it here. But with Cyphers Fix it works great for me

EDIT: oh i forgot, i have the german client since that's where i'm from so ... if the DBC edits won't work, u guys could just send me the CharacterFacialHairstyles.dbc from ur patch-enGB.MPQ in the wow directory or which version u might ever have ^^

Hey Lum. Ich hab gerade dein Undeadmale ausprobiert, funktioniert super soweit! Nur wollt ich gerade Stratholm in den ÖP gehen. Da muss man ja das Gitter aufmachen. Wenn ich das tuhe und er die Animation dazu macht, verschwindet mein char kurz, plopt dann wieder auf und hat extreme grafik fehler. Dann flieg ich aus dem Spiel.

edit: das passiert auch wenn ich mit einem NPC sprechen will.

Das Problem habe ich heute ebenfalls festgestellt. Es liegt jedoch nicht an der MPQ (habe sie erst gestern Nacht erstellt, also ist alles up2date). Das Problem liegt beim launcher, ich habe leider noch keinen funktionierenden launcher auftreiben können =/ sobald ich etwas finde, poste ich es hier.

seems like Cyphers launcher, that originally was created for the beta, crashes wow nowadays when interacting with npcs or world. Cypher if u might read this, your launcher is some great stuff - an update would be so much appreciated. Any other launcher that can handle model edits incl. DBC with live client support 3.0.3 would be very nice, too. I'm not that into programming and stuff, so i can't help u out with a recent launcher. The MPQ was created last night, so i was kinda tired und didn't try out interacting and stuff - sry for that one ^^

Schade aber auch gut das es nicht an der MPQ liegt^^ Hab noch andere Swaps ausprobiert, aber deins ist "leider" perfect!

Was ich aber noch festgestellt hab. Wenn ich ohne nen launcher starte kommt ja ne Fehlermeldung. Da war was mit hairstyles glaub ich. Vielleicht kannst du da nochmal was ändern bis es einen neuen Launcher gibt?

Very nice. It all seemed to be working at first, but as soon as I tried to speak with any NPC, my WoW crashed. Any chance this could get a fix ? Also, it might be I, who's wrong. I haven't been into these model swaps for a long time, in fact this is my first time trying it out :b
Anyway, what I did was - copy the Patch-4.MPQ into my Data folder, then ran the Wrath Model thing. N' thats it. any help would be awesome (:

@ Azukia: u did well like that, as I wrote, there is no solution for the crash at the moment. I don't think, that the problem is within my MPQ file. I compiled MPQs in TBC like that and never had a problem running them. All files inside the MPQ should be compliant with the current version of the live client.

Cypher is aware of the crash... I posted a crash dump in his Morpher thread - let's hope, that he can somehow get a solution to this problem =).

As soon as I have any news, I'll get u updated in this thread here

mal eine frage an die deutsche community hier, ich habe die mpq datei jetz runter geladen, aber wie binde ich die in meine system daten ein? Bin leider noch sehr unerfahren auf diesem gebiet und da mein Englischessprachvermögen nicht so ausgeprägt ist, helfen mir die anderen threads leider nicht weiter...

ok no problem now, but when i start wow with the wrathmodel program i m able to log in, but when my character screen is loaded wow crashs like azukias problem

So jetzt hab ich das selbst hinbekommen! Bei deiner MPQ haben Animationen gefehlt. Da die nicht abgespielt werden konnten ist WoW abgestürzt.

Geht zwar immer noch nicht mit Wowme aber mit der wrathmodel.exe

english: Crash fixed (stealth on rouges still crashes). you can talk to npc's, mount, open doors and so on. still have to use the wrathmodel.exe

Gott, bin wohl in der Pause eingerostet... keine Anis zu adden is schon bisschen nooblike =P
Danke, dass du meinen Fehler korrigiert hast . Ich habe leider keinen Schurken um zu testen wie das mit stealthing aussieht, beim Krieger crasht es jedoch in keiner Situation mehr. Ich benutze im Moment Cyphers Morphing Launcher. Den hält er up2date und der hat auch eine Modeledit funktion, wie die Wrathmodel.exe. Ich poste den link zu dem entsprechenden Thread nach der englischen Fassung des posts ^^. Vielleicht wird dein Crashingproblem dadurch behoben.

English version:

I accidently forgot to add animationfiles, that caused the crashing. When using Cyphers Morphing loader (see link below and in the initial post), i don't experience any crashes while playing my warrior. Gezzdt corrected my fault, thx again for that . It still may cause crashes, when playing a rogue - crash will likely occur when u stealth =( i don't know why this happens, but to be honest... I don't have the time and the passion to look out for a solution for this.

When playing any other class than rogue, u shouldn't experience any bug or problem by now.

Hab den neuen Morpher probiert. Stealth geht so lange bis ich mich bewege, ist also schon einer Verbesserung!^^

Gezzdt der Morpher ist auch in der Lage, dich bzw. dein Target in jeglichen npc zu verwandeln =) damit siehst zwar deine Rüstung nicht, aber könntest dich dennoch in irgendwas untotes verwandeln. Deine Waffen sind ja sichtbar und die Animationen passen auch =)

Gemorphed wird so:

1. Target anwählen (wenn du keines hast, bist automatisch du das Morphingziel)
2. /console morph 1234567 (Die Zahl steht für deine Wunschid)
3. /console scale 0.75 (alle erdenklichen Zahlen mit Punkt trennen, falls es sich nicht um eine "glatte Zahl" handelt, ist für Größenanpassungen da der Befehl)

Gemorphed bist du bis dein ui neu geladen wird, dh. Zonenwechsel, Ausloggen, BG etc. Ich empfehle das chataddon Prat damit du deine Eingabe mit Hilfe von Chat + Pfeil nach oben/unten leicht wiederholen kannst.
Alle commands werden einfach in die Chatzeile eingegeben. Die MPQ musste dann vorher aus deinem Data Ordner entfernen, sonst crashts immernoch ^^.

Dann mal frohes morphen =) als Arthas und co schnetzelt sichs gleich lustiger ^^
