    [Epic] Howling Fjord goes Techno!

    WoW Music
    as it should be

I've always loved the Howling Fjords zonemusic, but when i heard this song i just couldn't resist making an edit of it. I made an video and it has ingame music only, so no music is added after videoing.

*) You should hear the sound when you enter a zone "Howling Fjord" in Northrend but its not 100% sure that you do because i left in some old music files to make the sound playing much more rare, so you will be surprised and won't get bored to it too fast.

I won't tell you the name of the song or artist, but i suggest to take look at the YT description because its included there.

    FAQ:
Q: Shouldn't this be posted to UI forum?
A: No because this is a Zone edit and its done with model editing

Q: How do i use this pack?
A: Put the patch-HF.MPQ to your data folder, rename the filename to patch-3.MPQ or anything up to patch-9.MPQ. Be sure that your MPQ is written with capital characters. Start up MEF and start walking around HoFJ.

Q: I went to HF but it didn't work!
A: Read the text marked with *
If still won't work then: Make sure you have Model Edit Fix.
Im not an expert with making videos so don't expect too much of it.

    Anyways enjoy!

    2. You posted the wrong mix...
    3. How did WoW "blatantly rip this song"?

    Models made of sound.

Zone edit, meaning it is an edit, oriented and triggered by a particular area in-game, right?

So, as long as it is zone-oriented, any random file replacement is a 'model edit'?

So if I, by example, replace the ambient sounds of ashenvale to random songs from 2pac's greatest hits, it is a model edit, eaventhough it is audible and has nothing to do with game graphics?

If you nod your head while reading, agreeing to this definition of a 'model-edit', then you are, by prinicps, telling me that the correct meaning of the phrase; "model-editing" --- Has nothing, Absolutley nothing, What so Ever, to do with actually editing models?

I agree it is a modification, an auditive modification, but Not a model edit since there's no model-modification involved. Actually, there's nothing visual about this at all.

File replacement* does not have the same meaning as* model-editing, so; No, it's not "done with model editing", and therefore; Yes, I think this should have been posted in the UI forum.

But it's nice to have an uptempo song to litsen to, and it's quite a good one too, so I'll give you that.

Model Editing never had anything to do with models. It always should be called "coffee" or "file swapping" / "file editing" (where "file swapping" is the more common thing).

The failure is not this edit but the section's name.

@thesixth: You're argument is laughable; You state that, in your opinion, swapping a zone's music has nothing to do with model-editing (which it does, but "model-editing" is not quite the right word, as stated by schlumpf), so this edit should be placed in the UI section. However, I fail to see how this would AT ALL be related to UI modification... See where I'm going with this? Anyways, anything that can be classified as coffee (world-building {editing existing maps or creating your own}, model-changing {editing existing models or creating your own}, or model-swapping) belongs in the "Simple Model Edits" section. TBH, the ME section could do with a rearrange, but.. oh well.

UI= User Interface and like Yama said, this has nothing to do with it :/
