I think I respond well to abuse since this is the only guide I was able to understand and taught me how to do it correctly lol.

Re: [GUIDE] yet another How-To model edit for dummies (with abuse) :D

Just try to read it slowly and go with every word, it's a bit confusing I admit I got lost several times and had to kinda improvise with what the guide gave but in the end it does make some sense.

And about the .m2 thing, don't click that it'll make it crash everytime so just copy the file itself, don't try to look at it. (I just got lazy and copied the entire file than renamed it all lol.)

Ah I see but when opening the tree for the charcter lists and everything, common.mpq doesn't bring anything up. Is there a different .mpq file that could bring up the list? Such as model.mpq, patch.mpq etc.

Re: [GUIDE] yet another How-To model edit for dummies (with abuse) :D

When I did it I opened common than the "CHARACTER" file and extracted the whole file of the race I wanted to be than went from there. An eaiser way that i've found is I opened Common.mpq than extracted the enitre "CHARACTER" folder and saved it to my Destop so that I can easily switch races whenever I please. It's very useful especially for people who want to switch their looks often like me

Re: [GUIDE] yet another How-To model edit for dummies (with abuse) :D

lol yeah that took me awhile to figure out also since I didn't know what the hell yada yada was since I'm no pro lol. It means after you've switched the names and opened a mpq pack and named it patch-#.mpq than click the white space on the left where the folders are usually shown, right-click it and click Import Folder. After that the little menu thing come up and in the default line that you type on you type in CHARACTER than press Enter (or Return for some keyboards) twice and it will show up on the studio. When that's done, you save and close arcive and you've done it

If anyone else is a bit confused just ask, I think i've kinda gotten it down by now so i'll try to help if I can

Re: [GUIDE] yet another How-To model edit for dummies (with abuse) :D

It kinda seems to work, but where can I find the Belf and Draenei skins for the second step? (the ones in the character folder) (without caps)

Edit: Since the OP didn't write it, anyone else who has an idea how change to those races?

Re: [GUIDE] yet another How-To model edit for dummies (with abuse) :D

Thx a lot for the guide, though it was admittedly a bit confusing for a beginner like myself ^^U

My problem is the same as many posters before me, I changed my HumanMale model to UndeadFemale, it worked, but my model still has human face. Anyone figured out how to fix this?.
