what is this "Model injection" :P? do you mix 2 models together or something?

@Creepfold its like injecting a model with Botox![]()
Model injection is, basicly, m2 file's shape modification.
You extract .m2 from .mpq, you convert .m2 to .obj with Glitchy's MES (cf ME programs forum sticky); then you edit the .obj with 3D studio max, you can reshape the 3d model, then reinject it into a .m2 file, thanks again to Glitchy's MES, this guy rox, here is his guide for that:

Hm so you got the .OBJ converting working? Strangely enough .OBJ converting to .M2 doesn't work for me lol, how did ya do it to make it work :P
Do the impossible, see the invisible
Row row, Fight the power.
What doesn't work ?
If, in 3d studio max, the model is bugged (only a straight line or a few pixels show up), it's probably because you have not put Windows system language into USA, i had same problem.
Go to the regional setting in the control panel and change the region to usa (first and last tabs) then reboot your pc, and retry the stuff.
If you're already USA, i can't tell sry. I use 3d max 9.
Configured settings to English (United States) , do I need United Sttes (United States) or something?
Or well my issue right now is, I merged 2 .M2 while they were in .OBJ file into one, and I can't seem to import it back into .M2 again. Dunnow if the model is broken or something, maybe I'll upload it and people can see it for theirselves.

You have to keep the same number of vertices(vertex), the little blue points in 3dsmax, in order to reinject properly into the same m2 file.
That's why it doesn't work. And i hope you know you sure can not merge two animated objects like that.
If you want to merge 2 obj, you can, but you would have to create a new .m2, so lose all animations and texture mapping as well, as far as i know.
You would have to re-create texture with UV mapping (there is a guide somewhere, search "custom model").
If you want to combine two statics .obj, you may check this guide also.
I guess there is a way to bind an animated m2 to a static one (Bear mount, for example, has an armor+a bear), but i don't think it is bias model injecting. Probably dbc.
ps: Usa setting ect is only for the bug i told, .obj file not showing properly (a straight line+random pixels in 3dsmax viewports), forget about it.
