when im searching for my item, do i search in hext string or text string? and also im trying to chance the level 60 epic gm longsword, but there are now 2 items with that name. will that mess it up? :/

You have to search text string.

If you need help with your modelchange, feel free to open a request thread in the request section.

And no, it shouldn't mess up anything if there are 2 items with the same name (Because they're sharing the same model.)

ive posted a few times in the request section asking for help with edits but never received a reply so... :/

anyways back ontopic. i searched it and found gm longsword although it said it 6 times instead of 3 which i assume is down to there being the 2 items with the same name. however im having real trouble understanding what he means by

ok i got it working /cheer. but it sheaths (spelling? :/) on the hip not the back. any idea how i can fix it?

sorry for the double post but i have another question, when i search for stuff my alts have in the hex editor i cant find em. but i can still get stuff that ym main has. what gives?

Do the following :

1) Log in to your alt

2) Hover with your mouse EVERY item you want to change.

3) Exit WoW.

4) Enter your hex-editor.

5) Search for the items you want to change.

NOTE: As it is an alt, you might have some "of the eagle","of the boar" items, you must NOT search for that part!

Example : You have "Buccaneer's robes of the fiery wrath". The part you have to search for is "Buccaneer's robes". So not the entire name.

ok, will do. i figured out the "of the" stuff already because i have a green "of the monkey" sword for my offhand on my main

okay, i logged my alt and moused over all his items but the hex editor still cant find them :/

[EDIT] nvm. i just had to close the hex editor and reopen the itemcache after id moused over the items

[EDIT] now it can only find the weapon even though i moused over all the armour -.-
