    Re: Model Edit Fix

hey, i was wandering aroudn the model fix and was wadnering exactly how it worked. i am doing several interface projects involving glueXMLs. is there a way to use this tool to allow over ridding of them? i have heard of a hash check bypasser, but cannot find a link that isnt dead. any help would be nice

Best advice i can give you is don't use the edit causing the problem.

    Re: Model Edit Fix

Compile it as an .exe with any C++ compiler you have. Yes you will need to run it every time. Yes you can use your own patch.

Simply put it in the WoW Root folder and run it instead of WoW.exe, A CMD Box will open and will close when the user (you) presses 'END'.

    Re: Model Edit Fix

im getting a few errors running a compiler:

    cc1plus.exe C:\Dev-Cpp\cc1plus.exe unrecognized command line option "-fdollar-in-identifiers"
    and this one
    C:\Dev-Cpp\Makefile.win [Build Error] ["../Documents and Settings/Administrator/My Documents/sigfileoverride.o"] Error 1

i dont know much about c++ compiling, or any compiling at all...i dabble in it vagualy and hex editing is normally what i use for alot of my projects(but i cnat seem the find the line adresses referencing gluexml lockdowns in the hex code)

thanks agian for all your help, i owe you more than most poeple give you credit fr your modelfix

Edit: I got it to compile, but it gives me the login interface files are corrupt... did i compile it wrong?

    Re: Model Edit Fix

Most likely the offset in that code i posted is out of date (It updates every single patch blizzard releases)

http://filebeam.com/0142a008a1489c0117dc5c50e7470fa2 is the latest version (Compiled)

it did not, i put my new glueXML files in the data folder, and modeleditfix in my main directory. i am still getting that error that my login interface files are corrupt. i am extremely confused, lol i dont know why it wouldnt work if your telling me it is...am i using the wrong patch version? or is this compatable with the newest patch(the one that came out about a week and a half ago)

    Re: Model Edit Fix

Well, i've been using this version since the patch - Until yesterday it was automatically quarantined due to it being picked up as a Trojan on my Zonealarm. I tried downloading it again, but it was still being picked up as a Trojan.

Is it really a Trojan? I can't stand playing my Human...i'd love to know soon, thanks :P.

Oh, and sorry if i posted this question in the wrong section :/.

I emailed this to Zmut a couple days ago. Kaspersky picks it up as a Trojan, during that time only Kaspersky sees it as a a Trojan.

Ran another VT scan just now, will post a screenshot of what's up. Apparently it's now a trojan being more widely recognized by other scanners.

Yeah, its most likely a false-positive, its just strange how i've been using it for a good couple of weeks, then all of a sudden, its a Trojan.

edit: Actualy, i just realised, i have to do the same thing with Zonealarm aswell, soon as i go to extract it - Boom! right into quarantine.

Thats strange actualy, i just did my third update today for Zonealarm, then scanned both the winrar and the exe - It checked out fine with Zonealarm. And about five minutes ago it was showing as a Trojan?

    Re: Model Edit Fix

Anyway Kaspersky picked it up 2 days ago as a Trojan. VirusTotal's other scanners said nothing

Scanned a few min ago with KS, it's clean, but a few other scans on VirusTotal say it's the same Trojan KS picked up couple days back. Maybe KS is just a step ahead of them I don't know.

http://i16.tinypic.com/6381amu.jpg = screenshot of my results earlier
my file is just renamed to wowxr.exe

My conclusion, it's really is a FP.
