[Sound Swap] Undead Male -> Human Male

This was what i did i extracted all the gnome and gnome male sound files, renamed them to scourge with irfanview, created a MPQ archive added the folder saved and closed the archive, And still didn't work.

It doesn't look right. I think the folder path is wrong or something. Compare it to one of mine. I think you may find the problem. You have the general idea though. There may also be a guide on this. I forget, but you could try a search on it.

Thats how you do it. That guide is just very general. Get a program that lets you rename them all at once. Extract all the sound files you find. Change their name. And load them all at once with mpq master. It shouldn't be that hard, just a little tedious.

Hey *ChAoS* I'm stuck in the part that you need to paste the part you copied of the tree path. Is there a way to do that with mpqmaster?

Ok, well prename them while they are on your desktop its a lot easier. Prename everything and put them in the right folder. Then click that folder icon with the + sign on it and select your folder with everything in it and click ok and it should work. It looks like you understand the general idea.

Gah so close, yet so far. I don't know what's wrong with this I'm doing exactly what you're telling me to do and still isn't working. Like when i when i open the MPQ file i made and copy the tree path of the files in there it's the one it should be but still isn't working somehow.

Well I just spotted one problem. Your missing the sound.

Sound -> Character

I think the problem is that its UndeadMale instead of ScourgeMale in some of them. Make sure that your path is correct.

Yup, you can't rep someone again until you've given rep out to 10 different people. I'm glad you finally figured it out. I actually made a tiny spelling mistake the first time too and it didn't work.
