Noobsie-

Download the program(the XV one), then click file open, c drive, program files, world of warcraft, Cache, WDB, enUS, itemcache.

This will bring up a long long long page of hex coding.

Now hit ctrl+F, and click the text string box.

Type in the weapon you have that you are going to be changing. The item is CASE SENSITIVE so just like thottbot the item to make sure your spelling it right.

Now comes the more complex stuff.

Once you do that, you will see the name of the item on the right side of the coding strings.

Now what your going to look for in the LEFT side is like 00 00 00 00 XX XX.

those XX XX are codes for your weapon. Write those down for example may look like 7A B7 for Vengeful Gladiator's Slicer or A7 B1 for Warglaive of Azzinoth. You need to get the right ones for this to work. For me the XX XX was USUALLY on the 2nd row down.

Once you have this code, SCROLL BACK UP TO THE TOP. (this ensures that once you ctrl+f again the find command will start all the way at the beginning.

Now ctrl+f again and search in the text string the ITEM YOU WANT IT TO LOOK LIKE.

Once you do this, do the same thing, just look at the coding, and find the XX XX coding after the 00 00 00 00. WRITE THIS CODE DOWN.

Now scroll back up to the top again, and ctrl+f your origional weapon you wanted to change.

In the first XX XX code you found, you retype the NEW CODE that you write down. Just click on the cell you want to change and start typing to change it.

Then once your sure you did everything right, hit ctrl+s for the save.

Start wow, and your good.

To change the sheathe position is a lot more looking at code So if you dont want to do that, your done. But incase you do:

Below the XX XX somewhere in the code you will see a LONG string of 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c7 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

This is just an example. But you need to look for something like my example of c7. Once you found this (sometimes like 11 rows down like on the slicer) count 20 spaces back and i used the example 07. This is the coding you have to change for the sheath positions.

01-On back like a Wargalive
03-On your side like most items in wow like swords and the such
07-Fist weapon, hidden until you pull it out.

IF you know the sheathe position of the weapon your changing, it will help aid you in finding this sheath hex.

Hope that helps, im sure he couldnt be bothered to type out how he does everything. If you run into a problem let me know we can try and work it out, but this way you will be able to do your own, instead of asking for 345345345 for your friends that dont have an account. Have a good day meng.
