ok, I've managed to kinda make a working Draenei to High Elf mod. The problem is the eyes look kinda teal and I'm not sure how to change the voices and such. I pretty much took your mod, changed the .blp names from HighElf to Draenei (HighElfmale.m2 - Draeneimale.m2) with Renamer, put in a Helmet fix mod, and edited the patch-enUS.mpq so that I could edit the ChrRaces.dbc. Another problem that I don't know how to fix is that I have it right now so that some of the draenei skins are being used and they're useing the Draenei hair colors instead of the blood elf hair colors. If you know how I can fix this I'd really appreciate some help. Also I don't know how to upload the mods so that'd be useful to learn how to do too. Thanks a bunch ^_^
I woulda PM'd you this but it wouldn't let me T.T
Very cool.
Only works the 3.0 V, the one that replaces the night elves to HE...but i wanted to replace humans, tried with 2.0v and didn't work...
I don't see why you'd use textures and try making one, you're trying to reverse engineer and taking the long way.
You'd have better success taking the textures/models from 3.0 Night Elves and compiling a new MPQ with the DBC files from 2.0 Draenei.
The files still work and will continue to until the lainch of patch 3.0.2
Replace Humans with High Elves?Only works the 3.0 V, the one that replaces the night elves to HE...but i wanted to replace humans, tried with 2.0v and didn't work...
Download the Human/High Elf v2 MPQ, then rename the file to "patch-4.MPQ"
The file name is case sensitive and must be presented how I wrote it above.
I'm using the draenei to High Elf patch and I got this on the NPC's (which used to be draenei)
Think that can be done to the High elf itself? :P And if it's sort of done already give me a link?+Rep

Great model, thanks
is it possible to use a female high elf instead of a male [race] or just male-male and female-female
i play a NE female and when i used this edit i found that the models between blood elfs and the high elfs you made were slightly different
the high elf's chests were a little concave and it made tabards look a little weird, as opposed to the blood elfs.
also saw that the bulkier gloves you can wear were made smaller unlike ones you will see on blood elfs.
is there a reason for this?
will try when i am at home
It can be done, I just don't have the time to reskin 10,000+ NPC skins. Which is the only way to make NPCs look right.I'm using the draenei to High Elf patch and I got this on the NPC's (which used to be draenei)

It's possible, but it's something I'm not doing at this time.is it possible to use a female high elf instead of a male [race] or just male-male and female-female
Had you read the thread, I mentioned that I've included a model which I've applied personal editing to. Which I released with 3.0i play a NE female and when i used this edit i found that the models between blood elfs and the high elfs you made were slightly different

All of which were made with the intention of personal taste.
The glove change was the first Polygon edit I did, the bulkyness of the old one seemed a bit silly in my opinion and so I thinned them down, I also changed the torso body shape. Those were released with 2.0, 3.0 had some hair changes and more chest editing.
That is somewhat possible, but it's also flawed with regards to hair styles, Helms and other small things.
In short, NPCs of races will look abnormal any way you go at it. Unless you invest time to reskin NPCs while keeping their garmets.
Which is a multi-man team project in itself.
