[Guide] Securing Your WoW

This guide will disallow warden to read/write data on your computer and disallow it from sending any information it gathers on your computer (Even though it will not be able to get any). However this will NOT let you run speedhacks or teleporthacks ect. (Because that data is sent from your character and the WoW server will disconnect you).

Securing Your WoW

First, make sure you have your guest account enabled on your computer
-Windows users go to your Control Panel, then to Users and Accounts.
-Click the Guest account and make sure that the Guest account is turned on.

Next, we make a .bat file to load up WoW on your normal computer account but to load it with Guest privileges. Open up notepad or wordpad, type in the following.. (make sure your wow.exe is in this specified position)

runas.exe /u:guest "C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/wow.exe"

Save the file as anything... but make sure it is a .bat file. (add .bat to the filename in save)

Run the bat whenever you want to start wow.
IT WILL ASK FOR A PASSWORD JUST HIT ENTER.

And there you go, warden can't stop you. Enjoy.

lol zolofighter uses this method so he dosent have to keep updating his software for warden updates. but i perfected it for my vista and so i could run it in guest mode without zolofighter/zolofisher

Or you could just say

1. Open note pad
2. Copy + Paste :
runas.exe /u:guest "C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/wow.exe"
into the note pad document
3. Save as WoW.bat
4. Enjoy


I really have no idea how this would stop warden as warden reads whats going on in memory processes on the computer at the time. One way of testing this is having cheat engine open and trying to run WoW after its open. If it works its a success otherwise a failure.

I would do that before you load wow then your hacks to find out it fails and you get :banned:

First screenie shows me opening WoW the normal way ... As you can see I get stopped.
I then use the bat file and still I get stopped. As you can see its in the bottom left hand corner of the screenie.





If you still dont believe me then try it yourself! This doesnt stop you being detected using illegal software!

i just loled @ u, how old is that hack. It won't stop hacks that wow has added to their database such as that. My way stops wow from seeing what your using that ISNT already a banned program

try an autoit script.

ill put it easier for you, if a gm wants to look at your scan log if you are under investigation its the same as deleting your scan.dll, just a permanent solution.

I dont think you understand. That software was detected with the bat file you suggested. That means that a GM can use warden to scan your computer and the bat file will do ... NOTHING.

I am not trying to flame, I am trying to save alot of people from thinking they are safe using this method and stop you from also thinking that. You are not safe using this method, warden can still scan your memory processes.








Btw it doesnt matter if I use banned or currently unbanned software. I just used speed gear, as a test, as I knew it was already banned and easily detectable by warden.
