How to make a 19 Twink Paladin
-Intro-
Before I start this guide I want to make it clear that this guide will show you how and where to level (Extremely Important), the gear you need, where your talents/abilities should go, that professions you need, and how to fight in the battlegrounds. I also want to tell you that this guide refers to a Paladin twink. If you are of a different class this guide wonât be much of anything to you. Making a twink is lengthy, expensive, and tough. There are no ways of cutting corners and you will need the help from others. A twink is a someone who owns at their battle ground bracket. They have decked out gear and enchants and choose to stay at their level for a long time focusing only on battlegrounds. My newest twink would be Jakhamma a 19 Paladin that I just finished. He owns his bracket and thatâs your goal. To own your bracket. My guide has the assumption that you know your own tips of leveling and way around in the starter places.

-Preparation-
Making a twink as I said is hard and costly. In order to make a twink I recommend you have the following available:
-At least 350g
-Background knowledge of your character (Not necessary but helps a ton)
-A good friend or willing people to help you
If you donât meet those requirements I suggest you ponder if you want to continue or you make it so you are prepared. Note: Making a twink is a lot about luck with certain drops, which I will explain later, and you need to make sure that you are up for it. The total time to make your twink will be about 1-2 weeks unless you play 24/7. Over the next week youâre going to have a new friend. The Auction House. This is where you will get most of your gear. Since you canât rely on farming these items being on a popular server helps a lot. Now onto the Leveling.
-Leveling-
Before I list everything you should have a main and know a little about where to level. Iâm going to give you standards. I suggest you make a race where you know the places, quests, and monsters.
1-6: Beginning Place
- These are easy levels get them quick and move on
- Be time efficient and patient
6-10: EleywnForest
-Pick up your quests and do them
- Helpful to know these quests if you donât look them up on thottbot.com
Level 10:
-STOP!
Ok you may be wondering what?!?! I want to be 19!!!
Alright, alright cool it, this is what leads into luck and instances. This is where I said having a good friend comes in place.
-Instances/Gear-
You stopped leveling here because now you need to make sure you donât get to 19 and have no gear. This is also the most frustrating part of making a twink. Youâre going to revolve around two/three instances where you have to pray you have good luck. The two main instances you have to get BoP gear from are wailing caverns and deadmines. Since you are to low to actually get a group for them you have to get a higher level (Get a 50+ so it goes by faster)
To run you through. Since getting runs for free is the hardest thing in the world unless they are your friend you need to pay them. I find most people accept 2g for a deadmines run and 5g for wailing caverns. Lets Begin:
Deadmines:
- Cruel Barb
- Blackened Defias Armor
- An Unsent Letter
I hated getting these (Except the letter) mostly because the drop rate on both of them is under 15%. It took me a total of 15 runs through to get both of them.
Wailing Caverns:
- Serpent Shoulders
- Cobrahns Grasp
- Savage Trotters
I got very luck with those drops because I got them all in one run. The drop rate on these is a little higher but for most it is still annoying.
The Stockade:
At level 16 you get a quest from a letter that drops off of Vancleef. Hopefully you kept it. Do all the quests which are self explanatory until you have to kill Bazil Thread in the stockades. Have your friend run you through to him get his head. Turn it in and do the next couple of parts until you get a quest called The Attack. Here you will have to kill 2 lvl 31âs so you need your friend again. One problem though before your friend kills them you need to have one hit on each of them. I find putting retribution aura works best. Then do all the talking quests and finally you are awarded with a Seal of the Wryn. This is a lvl 31 ring that you get at lvl 19!
Gurubashi Arena:
At 3am, 6am, 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, midnight server there is a chest in the center of the arena. Make sure you have body guards because this is a trinket all twinks are after. Once you get the item you can start the quest and then you have to do this 10 more times to get an Arena Grand Master trinket.
The rest of the gear is auction house bought except for 2 pieces. Youâre after the most stamina you can get. The gear you need you buy are⊠Note: Prices May Vary By Server
--Fortified Bracers of the Bear - (Green, 2g)
--Thorbiaâs Gauntlets - (Blue, 20-25g)
--Sentry Cloak - (Blue, 30-60g)
--Redbeardâs Crest - (Blue 20-25g)
--Blood Ring - (Green 1-5g)
--Thick Bronze Necklace - (Green 1g)
--If you werenât able to get Savage Trotters you can get Silver-linked Footguards (Blue 15-25g).
--Combat Leggings - (Green, 1g NOTE: You will need to buy an armor kit along with these that needs to be attached to by a lvl 60. So you need to be able to trade the leggings and the leg armor to a 60+. If you equipped them already you have to buy new legs.)
--Clefthide Leg Armor (Blue 50-60g)
Or if your really rich
--Nethercleft Leg Armor (Epic 175-250g)
The unpurchased remaining two items come from Engineering. They are Green Tinted Goggles and Minor Recombulator. You get these at 150 and 140 engineering. Farm it up and get your goggles and 2nd trinket. Once you make the goggles if your main is lvl 50+ get the Lihbram that starts the quest for a enchant that gives +100 health to any head piece. Give the goggles to your main, do the quest, and enchant them. Now onto the enchants you want.
-Enchants-
These are very costly so make sure you have enough
- Crusader or 20 Strength -> Cruel barb (120g)
- 9 Stamina -> Bracers (15g)
- 7 Stamina -> Boots (6g)
- 7 Stamina or Shield Spike -> Shield (6g)
- 100hp -> Goggles (Quest see above)
- 100hp -> Chest (15-20g)
- 70 Armor -> Cloak (3g-4g)
That about covers it all, if you havenât reached level 19 yet because you got lucky with your drops go to Redridge and quest until your lvl 19.
-Talents-
This is quite simple:
Holy
---Divine Strength 5/5
---Improved Seal of Righteousness 5/5
This will give you a total of a added 10% strength bonus along with a improved Seal of Righteousness which will maximize your damage. Donât think just because you are listed under Holy that you have to heal. Youâre a damage dealing paladin unless you choose otherwise,
Now Go Out and OWN!
