2.4 - potential gold mine (predicted)

With the new patch coming up and the new enchanting recipie (turns one void crystal into two large prismatics) I think I've found a potential way to make alot of gold.

Imagine the prices on the void crystals. They'll be extremely high in demand. I don't know about your server, but at mine, void crystals are going for a 13g average based on the last 14 days. Prismatics are going for 33g based on the last 14 days. Obviously, a lot of enchanters are going to buy void crystals to make prismatics, either to save money or to gain profit. This is where the gold mine comes in. Buy as many void crystals as possible before 2.4, wait a few days/weeks and resell them. My guess is that void crystals will rise to 300/400% of its current price, or maybe even more.

How can that be?
If people want to make the large prismatic shards, then they will need the void crystals. It makes perfect sense for people to put the price high on them due to demand. However, if people really start buying allot of void crystals then I beleive supply will be larger than demand, and prices will go down atleast to some degree.

PS: this could be a get rich quick scheme.

Yes it will blow the price down on LPS, but it will also blow the price up on void crystals... buy for 13g now and sell for 20-50g after 2.4.

Void Crystals are easier to get than LPS'es as of now (All L70 epics drop them 1-2x) and therefor they are cheaper (You don't need them a lot either, while you do need LPS'es a lot).

While Void Crystals will still be in a huge supply the demand might go up a tiny bit, but there's still a 24hr cooldown on the transmute/split w/e so I wouldn't be surprised if the LPS price dropped and the Void Crystal stayed the same or goes up a few gold.

Just my speculation.. People expected talasites to rise in price as well while on some servers they stayed really check after the resilience recipe came around the corner

Just be careful spending all your gold on Void Crystals..

What you're missing is that in the first couple of days of 2.4 the demand on VC's will skyrocket and people will be just like "LOOOL GONNA TURN MY VCS INTO LPS AND GET MANY GOLD!!!!!!!!!". That's the time you should be selling your VCs for about 200% current price.

Then things will happen exactly as you say. LPS will drop down a bit and there's gonna be a huge amount of em, VC price will go up bit but as people realise that one transmute every 24 hour isn't overly awesome they'll start selling the VCs they bought pre-patch.

Still a nice chance to make a lot of gold for close to no effort whatsoever.

VC's are up to 38 gold per on my server right now (Ravenholdt), and Large Prismatics have dropped to 24g per (Averages). The effects are already starting to take place it seems.
