i'd love to try this out, i hate the alt+tabbing from joana's guide
wow holy this is cool
betas is now closed??? awwww
you could earn a shit load of money from this program...
so... at what lvl are u now?
i'll level a new char with this guide
almost done:P if you need help with the website... contact me... and i ll try to help
Also, what kinda benefits does your guide give other than showing an arrow?
Because there's a free in-game joana's guide in this section aswell and it's wonderful so I just wanted to know why I should buy your guide instead of using the free one found in here
Joana's guide is not clear, It’s just the text version of the guide pasted within metamap (or cartographer I forget what one).
My guide lays out every specific action in a simple format:
i. Open the eggs on the ground
ii. Redeem 3 Hatchlings
iii. Kill 3 Malevolent Hatchlings
In Joana's you have to open your map search for the step you are up to, right click the map note and set as waypoint. This then only will give you instructions when you either hover over the main map icon or list, or hovering over the Minimap icon.
My guide is a lot simpler to the point where all you have to do it click Next. This will take you to the next step, create the way point, adjust the arrow, and give you another set of clear instructions to follow.
Also my guide has a little box on the screen that can be resized and minimised, clearly displaying all the steps right in front of you.
Joana's guide has all the map points displayed all the time. you can choose to hide them, but then you can’t see your steps.
My guide also creates and clears all the way point automatically so you will only ever have one dot on you main map and one dot/arrow on your Minimap. This will be the waypoint related to your current instructions.
Like I said previously, my guide currently has over 1900 steps, thats over 1900 map notes.
Imagine them being visible every time you open your map.
Setting up Joana's guide also is slightly more complicated, Instead of just extracting the addon to you addons folder, you are required to copy variables and other lua files to different folders which could cause confusion for someone who is not familiar with how SavedVariables are used or is new to the game.
My guide is simple extract folder to addons directory.
When you first log in it calibrates itself by getting your Minimaps position on the screen so for those who have custom interfaces the Minimap and 3d arrows will always be pointing in the right direction
And of course the Big 3D ARROW, unlike other addons it has no dependencies at all its fully functional on its own
That’s just a few examples I have come up with off the top of my head, I'm sure if I sat down adn really thought about it, I could come up with a few more.
Hope this helps
I..really..want your addon..NOW!
^^ Can't wait
I think the anticipation is killing us all :P
Any ETA so far?
Any ETA so far?
i would love to beta test this. and a question. is the full guide going to be free for contribs and up?
