I tried this last night and got a whole 2 Silks in 2 hours. It has a 14% drop rate. Not to good. And the loot just plain sucked. I have been luck with motes. I did that also for 2 hours and turned out over 400 gold in AH!

Then you must have had incredibly bad luck lol, I got 12 silks in 15 minutes

Yeah, this is decent. I did the area near Allerian Stronhold. I used my hunter so the spiders went down fast, but I was surprised by the respawn rate of the spiders, pretty nice.

As far as 200g an hour ..I don't know about that.

They are around 5g a piece on the server my hunter's on. I wasn't getting 30-40 silks per hour. I've done it twice for a couple hours each time and got 19 the first time, 15 the second.

Another thing to note: They drop the Dreadfang Venom Sacks. These are used to switching from Scryer to Aldor

I actually sold a couple stacks of these on the AH.

So by farming these you get some -ok- vendor trash, some silk and the venom sacks. Really not a bad place to farm imo.
