[Guide] Quitting WoW a guide by Dryice

First of all after i posted my "All Projects Stopped" post several guys asked why, i quit wow and i know some of you want to do the same so i am posting a guide on how to do it, enjoy, my final post on mmowned!
Once started i'm not sure some of this is irreversible so make sure you are ready to quit before you start.

Well step one is limiting yourself, this teaches you you can't always get on and you will branch out to other things to do while you can't play, you may find out you like these and start doing them more often, eventually quitting. Now i do admit if you have a addiction it is hard to limit yourself.
STEP ONE: Go into account Management click parental controls, select the times you want to play, to make sure you won't go back and remove them on any whim set a random generated password like, "jhsdhfdf8efefhcdsfhdsfhd"then you cant get back in to fix them on any whim

STEP 2: A more drastic is just deleting your characters, if you want them back, pention a gm and in a few days they will be back
STEP 3: Go to a RL friend get him to change your password to something only he knows, then yo cant login unless he tells you
It's not a lot but it's a start, these are what i did to quit, i'm happy now, you will be too if you have been trying for a while, hope you enjoy
Well, if this is to hard for you, go to a private server or make your own, you will find cheating is a very effective way to quit, i used to be addicted to wow, 24/7 now when i barely play, also a 360 console is always fun usually better games do the trick, i suggest Call of Duty 4
FLAME IF YOU WANT I WON'T BE HERE!

Good guide, and good advice. Since I started college, I play a lot less than I used to. I don't do other things I should, but I did cut back. =)

To those making fun, maybe they should follow the guide first, then reply when they aren't spending 16 hours a day in WoW, or on WoW related sites. ~.^

Why would you quit, as long as you can control it?

This is quite a nice way to somebody who is trying to quit. I am not trying to 100% quit, but to really cut down, to like 1 hour a day max. I find that playing less makes the game more interesting. Also, one thing I may add would be - Not to browse WoW Related websites when not playing or trying to quit. This just makes you itch to get back on to it, to find you are bored once again. Go buy an FPS Game or something that you can get involved in, to keep your mind away from it.

It's a massive plot, he's a clever one. Don't you people see what he's trying to do, he's trying to get everyone to quit to drive blizzard through bankruptcy, and get everyone to quit MMOwned.
