[GUIDE] How to BOT a mage

Mage is one of the most powerful classes to bot.
If you have the right specc and the right settings you can bot forever without dying.
NOTE: This guide is for the BOT program mmoglider!


My record is 3631/3041/0 (kills/loots/deaths)

Okey let's get to settings.

Mage Options
Pull distance: 29 yards (always one yard below the pull spell, in this case frostbolt)
Fireblast distance: 20 (26 if you specced it)
Fireblast Cooldown: 8 (6.5 if you specced it)
Ice barrier mode: None
Finisher: None
Use mana stones: Uncheck
Use melee-range spell: Uncheck
Wait for approach on pull: Check
Use Comubustion: Uncheck
Use Dampen Magic: Uncheck (check if you fighting casters)
Save Fireblast for runners: Uncheck
Use Frost Nova: Uncheck
Use Polymorph on adds: Uncheck
Approach for Fireblast: Uncheck
Use Counterspell: Uncheck
Use Evocation: Check


Limits
-Rest Percentages-
Health: 70 (this always depends but I mostly use 70)
Mana: 50 (this always depends but I mostly use 50)

-Rest Options-
Fast eat/drink: Check
Use bandages: Uncheck

-Ressurection-
Auto ressurect if profile has ghost waypoints: Check (I pick 10)


Distances
-Wandering-
Walk-to-pull: 0 yards
Harvest range: 0 yards


Miscellaneous
Use media keys: Check
Walk to loot: Check
Skip all looting: Uncheck
Sit when bored: Uncheck
Remove debuffs: Check
Beep on kill: Uncheck
Relog on disconnect: Check (Personal choice, on my server we get dc alot so mine is checked)
Skin corpses: Uncheck (unless you have skinning)
Reset buffs: Check
Fight back against players: Check (I check this when I bot in zangarmash etc with buncha lowbies)
Strafe around obstacles: Check
Skip sanity on loot: Uncheck
Shift to autoloot: Uncheck (use the one in wow, you find it in the interface menu)
Icon in system tray: Check
Horizontal window layout: Uncheck
Remember game window size: Check
Stop looting when inventory is full: Uncheck
Turbo loot when safe: Check


Keys
-Timing-
Paste via Windows clipboard: Check
Install keyboard hook: Check
Spell lead delay: 100 ms

-Mouse-Paw speed delay: 35 milliseconds
Spin with mouse: Uncheck

That's the settings I use. Let's go for the specc!

10-15: Improved Arcane Missiles (I choose this beacuse this cause it's cheap on mana and I'm able to kill with only one channeling)
15-19: Arcane Concentration
20-24: Arcane focus
25-26: Arcane Subtlety
27-29: Arcane Meditaion
30-34: Arcane Mind
35-37: Arcane Potency
38: Presence of Mind (not usefull at all to bot but we need this to get the good shiet)
39-41: Arcane Instability
42-44: Emproved Arcane Missiles
45-46: Arcane Power
47-51: Mind Mastery
52-54: Elemental Precision
55-59: Improved Frostbolt
59-60: Frostbite
60-62: Piercing Ice
63: Frostbite
64: Ice Shards
65-67: Frost Channeling
68-70: Ice Shards

5: Frost Nova

0: Mana stone (the item not the spell)

I just sold another mage. I use Fire spec tho. I like to down mobs long before they can reach me. Also fire spec allows for a 41yard pyroblast pull, which hurts mobs bad.

P.S. Next mage is currently level 7!
