Killing Azuregos

I searched, and I did not find this posted so I will post it!
Here is a guide to defeating that blue dragon who wanders around Azshara!

Description -

Azshara was once a beautiful bastion of the High Elves. Their magic was unsurpassed in Azeroth before their fall. Now Naga and Blood Elves have returned to scour the ruins. Are they trying to reclaim a lost heritage? What lies hidden in Azshara?

To find out, you must deal with more than Naga. One of the Blue Dragonflight has made it his duty to protect the magic of Azshara. Azuregos won't allow anyone to possess these items of power. Defeating him will be difficult, but the rewards could be wonderous.

Quests - Hunter
Region - Contested
Suggested Level - 60 (Duh)
Group Allowed - Raid of up to 40
Enemy Type - Dragon ( Another Duh )
Time to Complete - An average of 20-30 minutes.

How do I get to this mystical dragon?

Well,
Horde: Fly to Valormak and head to your designated gatherig point.
Alliance: Fly to Talrendis Point and run from the entrance of Azshara.

Who should I bring to this battle?

You SHOULD bring a raid of 40. You need your MainTank and your OffTank of course. And you MUST have your healers. You will also need some DPS to.

What should I bring to extend my life?

Frost Resistance is VERY important when fighting Azuregos. The MT and OT should balance Additional Armor and Defense with Frost Resistance and Stamina.

How do I defeat the blue bastard?

I'd love to tell you how:

Luckily Azuregos is Neutral, because his only duty is to protect the legacy of the High Elves and keep dangerous maic out of our mortal hands, its a pity we are after that magic .

Organize the group as you would a normal raid, MT's group should have the main healer, Lock with Imp, Hunter with TS aura, and a Pally/ Shaman for Auras/Totems.
Any abilities that increase FR should be used!!!

Does he have any special abilities? and if so, how do i deal with them?

He has many abilities, and I shall list them and tell you how to overcome him, even with thses abilities.

FORWARD AOEs:
His claws are massive and can hit several enemies at once. He also has a cone of frost. Any non MT should stay behin Azuregos, and fight.
The MT should try and keep him away from the raid, but since they might be too busy trying to kill him, if you are melee, MOVE!

TELEPORTING:
Many times during this battle, Azuregos summons all nearby raid members to a nearby location. When he teleports aggro is set to 0 for everyone. If oyu have aggro when he teleport, run to the MT. Once teleported, he is ontop of everyon. Run to his sides as quickly as possible. DONT run outside his teleporting range. Hunters use your minimuim range. You will be close enough to hit, and close enough to be teleported.

SPELL REFLECTING:
When Azuregos's claws start glowing with blue energy, his shied is activated, any spells cast at hima re reflected back to the caster. Use wands at this time.

MARK OF FROST:
When you are in such close range to a graveyard, the thought of running back and reengaging is very appealing. DONT. Azuregos has lived longer than everyone in your raid combined, and understands the power of the graveyard.

when you die, you get Mark of Frost. With this you are vulnerable to his Aura of Frost for 15 minutes.

So can you give me a basic rundown of what each class should and should not do?

Of course!

EVERYONE - Do: Get teleported, Move out of combat for mana and health, stay alive.
Dont: Rez before MoF falls, run from Azuregos if you have aggro.

DRUID - Do: Shapesift as necessary, assume role of healing, use Hots
Dont: Cast from long range, Spam Moonfire

HUNTER - Do: Stay mobile and attack when possible, send your pet to attack and mobs thata dd during the fight, Feign Death to escape combat and eat/drink.
Dont: Have pet growl,Fire from Max Range, Feign Death against Azuregos

MAGE - Do: Cast in bursts and use wand, Run out of range when teleports to regain mana, keep frost ward up.
Dont: Cast while his spell shield is up, use Frost spells against a member of the Blue Dragonflight

PALADIN - Do: Be ready to heal MT and healers, Keep Blessing of sacrifice on tanks and Wisdom on healers, stay in melee with Azuregos, and keep FR Aura up.
Dont: Try to tank, allow MT to die, Use Divine Intervention unless it is a raid-saving emergency.

PRIEST - Do: Focus on MT, Keep eye on other healers, shield tank when needed
Dont: Use mind blast, stand too far awat form Azuregos, run out of combat without telling backup

ROGUE - Do: Inflict Max DPS, Use Vanish, Use Instant Posion
Dont: Try to stun, stand infront, Hit after a teleport

SHAMAN - Do: Heal, Totems, Cast in bursts
Dont: Use Earth Shock, Use Rock Biter, Use Ank while MoF is active

WARLOCK - Do: Stack high damaga DoTs on Azuregos, keep phase shifted Imp out, Focus on DPS and DoT adds.
Dont: Cast while spell shield is up, send pet against Azuregos, Stand to far away

WARRIOR - Do: Sunder Armor, Restablish threat after Teleport, Use shield
Dont: Taunt Adds, Leave Def. Stance for more than a brief time, Waste rage on non threat generating abilities.

Ive done this with 23 ppl and took 10 minutes, Drape of Benediction dropped, out rolled by 2. GG. (BY A ****ING PALA -_-)

Edit: oh and I had a 0 frost resist raid party (except from tier gear)
