Frost AOE Grind Setup

The most important part about aoe grinding is location, location, location. A good spot to start if you are new is the graveyard just east of chillwind point in Western Plaugelands.

Other good spots are The elementals in Northwestern Silithus, the ogers in tanris/Burning Stepes, and just about any other groups of meele mobs.

The Strategy
Cast Ice barrier and hop on you horse. Gather up all of the mobs you think you can handel and then ride in a circle until they are in one giant group, then demount. cast Frost nova and back way way up. before frost nova is broken begin to cast blizzard at the feet of the farthest away mobs. you should be able to cast blizzard twice before they reach you, and once they do use Arcane Explosion once Cone of cold and then blink through them. Cast blizzard again at this point if they have gone trough 3 full blizzards they should be close to dead simply frost nova cone of cold arcane explosoin wand whatever you ahve to do to get it done.

Always have Ice barrier up, a mana gem ready, and Ice block/cold snap hotkeyd incase something goes wrong

as an Ex-mage player i used to do alot of AoE griding with some other mages. We had the techniqye down to a T and could kill about 15 elites with nothing but magisters and a good spec. to give you a good idea whats possible with a Mage and a good frost spec have a watch of this vid

I win at people taking my ideas already in a post, nice and easy to find, and not needing of an entirely new board v.v;;

Edit: And this isn't because i already said the basic idea of it, but:

Frostbite with AOE? HA, HF dieing because one mob got frostbitten, released in 5 seconds- after your frost nova has been cast, and if one mob isnt effected by frost nova, expect to run, or die....

A 50% more crit on one tick of...blizzard.. or not dieing, hmm ^^


Point of it: Don't get stinkin frostbite, nor Shatter, which relys on frostbite.

Edit2: Now that i think, shatter might rely on frost nova too, oh well, every time i use frost nova on my mage, stupid frostbite kicked in JUST before i use nova
