Disgusting Oozling

Ok so alot of people on my server want the digusting oozling, and I seem to be the only one on my server to acquire one.

so in felwood, there are some lakes that have slimes from left to right in the zone, generally when one sets out to acquire this rare vanity pet, they immediately run to this spot.

well when they do this, they are WRONG.

Not only do the 3 different oozes there, the tainted ooze, the vile ooze, and the rare spawn the ognar have really low chances to drop the bag, they are very numerous and a 70 can end up, waiting 5 mins for respawns to pop.
They do not get very many bags.

CORRECTION:

The best spot that I found for number of bags and oozes, was EPL in the ditches around light's hope chapel.

The two types here have a 0.7 and a 0.5% chance to drop these bags.
so for the one where it is 0.7% chance to drop kill one hundred and you have a 70% chance for one bag, though you wouldnt need to kill that many on average it's around 1 in every 10 gives me a bag.

The Oozeling itself only has a 1.0% chance to be in the bag.
so if you got one bag in every 10 kills in one hundred kills you'd get 10 bags, and 10% chance you'd have the oozling. so 1000 kills you'd have a really high chance to get the pet.

But a few people on various message boards say they only kill about 100 - 200 per oozling, this may be luck but it seems an awful lot of people have had this luck.

So if you just wanna make an easy 350g on some servers head on down to EPL and farm in the Tainted Scar.

Hope this helps anyone who wants to sell/own this vanity pet.

Other good spots:

Another place that seems to have a high drop rate for Bags is the Weeping cave in WPL. Thats where i got my oozling and the elementals in there also drop the greater nature protection pot recipe.

well, if you are 60 - 70 and havent got flying, or epic riding yet, check your economy and see what people are willing to pay on some servers pet collectors will pay ridiculous amounts of gold for this pet, so the worth varies from server to server.

Wasn't there a glitch or exploit if you mail the bags that doesn't have it to an alt it give you another chance to get it or something?

That bag has a very little chance to give oozeling i remember it was 0.1% to get it few months ago someone told me

if your not doing the math yourself, and getting it off another site, chances are its wrong

This glitch was fixed however

(exploit) if you zone into outlands with the bags on you it will change the contents also so in theory it will work the same and you could get two chances at the oozeling with the same bag..



This I tried a couple of patches ago I will try it tonight or tomorrow and advise if it does indeed still work or not.

Edit: also with this exploit you cannot remove anything from the original contents of the bag (before you zone/hearth to the outlands) the contents must remain unchanged for it to generate new contents...

The plus side to the mail bug being fixed is you can now farm for an oozeling on one toon and still mail it to another without it changing to something else so you can farm for oozelings for all your toons on one toon (that is if you dont want to sell them..

yeah I did the math using the %'s from Thott so I don't know how accurate it is.
It seemed accurate when I farmed it myself. =P

OK, Just to make sure that I get my numbers correct, I have installed MobInfo and set it to tell me how many kills I have on a particular mob and what was looted.
I'm gonna farm another Disgusting Oozling.
