Massive PvP melee damage increase!

With the new way stats now work in PvP, the stats on gear don't matter, but weapon speed still does! and these weapons can be used at any level.

Rogues/Shamans/Monks/Death Knights/Warriors/Demon Hunters will get MUCH larger hits and crits with their spell attacks using one of these two weapons in their main hand weapon slot:

Draconic Femur - Item - World of Warcraft

Common Legion Blade - Item - World of Warcraft

due to how damage is calculated for your spell attacks (not auto attacks) these weapons increase your damage output because their swing speed is an insane 5.0 seconds, almost DOUBLE normal melee weapons. With how PvP stats now come from templates instead of gear, these weapons being grey isn't a dps loss.


Both of these items also have ilvl 100, and can be used a level 1 so with the new system ilvl has a small impact on your stats in pvp, at low levels 100ilvl will have a huge impact on your stats for pvper under level 50.

Do you know of any way to obtain these or similar alternatives?

My guildmate found the Common Legion Blade at Felsoul Hold in Suramar off a demon (not sure which he's going to show me when he logs back on tonight I plan on farming these and selling them as the 19 twink community is huge on my realm) and let me play around with it on my 19 rogue last night.

i'd like to add that the mace along with this offhand: Stratholme Lily - Item - World of Warcraft gives a significant stat increase to 10-19 bracket priests, stacked along with these high ilvl items:

helm: Mist-Piercing Goggles - Item - World of Warcraft
neck: Problem Solving Pendant - Item - World of Warcraft

pants: Haliscan Pantaloons - Item - World of Warcraft
