Skipping Valithria in ICC (Since Tuesday)

So I realize for years now.. seriously years.. you've been able to run right by..

That is not the case anymore..

Tried it on 2 100s.. a druid even with stealth.. a mage with invisiblity.. both times the encounter began :-/

So wait 'til they come up & take a nightmare portal without healing Val at all & the encounter will bug out & despawn..

Then run past like normal :-)

All you fine folks are aware I'm suggesting a change was made yes ?

That change = Valithria is not blatantly skippable by running past anymore..

If you disagree.. I'd like to see a video of you running right by..

It's been a few weeks now.. & on every character of mine I've cleared ICC on.. stealth.. invisibility.. running right by without either of those.. the encounter always starts..

It never used to.. that's no secret..

The only reason I feel foolish is for still not understanding what I'm doin' wrong >.<

I used to run right by too.. no troubles.. I'll make a video of my own so's the criticism can be constructive :-D

Actually less than 6 months...seriously months...

From Patch notes on 10/14/2014 (patch 6.0.2): "Icecrown Citadel: Door leading past Valithria is now open by default, allowing players to skip the encounter."


Someone must have just strongly mis-informed you about how ICC works or something.
You aren't doing anything "wrong", you just don't know what you're doing lol

I clear ICC weekly and skip this boss by just walking around her. Didn't have an issue running past her last week, it was the same as always.

There is a much more effective way, you can skip Valithria AND the spiders by jumping in the pit just after Lanathel and instant using the goblin glider...
You go through the walls and land on Sindragosa's place.
