Christmas, gold and new rewards for waiting a year!

Hey guys,

Some of you may know about this already - but you should get the Christmas presents on ALL alts you have and NOT open them. This way, you'll have early access to next years' rewards / achievements / possible new tradeable toys before Christmas actually hits, they get added in a patch long before).

So just get the presents on all alts, and wait til new gifts are datamined for next year, and open them when the patch is applied - you'll have potential of making some nice money from new stuff, or having those shiny new items before everyone else.

Requires a year of patience, but if you have alts you don't play - why not put them in your bank?

PS: Not sure about the level requirements, but confirmed that you can pick up all presents at level 70 already. Don't have lower level alts, but it may even be earlier. There is a total of 6 presents, and the Gently Shaken Present is the one you would want to keep for sure.

Go to Ironforge / Orgrimmar and new the main areas (bank/AH) you'll see a tree with tons of presents underneath. I believe they unlock at noon server time, because they aren't unlocked on my realm yet.

The box that yields the lounge cushions that people are paying a lot of gold for says "Requires Level 1" on Wowhead so you should be able to make a lot of gold just running L1s over and over while there's still demand. To be more specific this is "Gently Shaken Gift"

The point of the thread is not to make gold right now, even if that's possible. The point is to NOT open the present(s) yet until tnew stuff has been datamined for them.. When that patch goes live, you can open them and have new rewards / items you can sell early before the next Christmas event.

People have had the new toys since patch 6.0.2, while they only got "officially" available as of today,

People who had those early toys, while they weren't available yet, had them shift over from unopened presents from last year.

So the tip of the day: Do not open the Christmas packages on your alts a few months before Christmas next year!
