Solo Nalak the Storm Lord

Patch 6.0.2 upgraded many guards to level 100, so drag Nalak to the Shado-Pan guards at the ToT summoning stone not too far away. It took them only about 30 seconds to kill it, and I just needed to keep myself alive. It should be noted that guards on PVE servers are much stronger, and this is where I tested it. It's possible the PVP server guards might be too weak, but still should provide some assistance in the encounter. This boss drops 522 gear and a chance at a mount. ~15m respawn, weekly loot.

Edit: Just tested on a PVP server, a few of the Shado-Pan guards died, and it took a few minutes, but they pulled it off.

Thanks for testing the looting. So for a PVE server you don't need to live that long, but a PVP Server the guards can take up to 4 minutes. What if you run back as a ghost and hit the boss again right before he dies? Will try in a few mins here with another character on a PVP server.

Edit: So the PVP guards let me down this time and died, probably need to make a point of trying to aggro the respawning guards when ressing. I did go ahead and do it on a PVE server again, tested a case where I died on purpose, didn't release, and still got loot and the ability to coin. My recommendation would definitely be to get that PVE phase, like thru Premade Groups [join a random ordos group].

No problems to kill him on Pvp with pulling all guards.
But yeah. i cant survive long enough on my 540 druide.

He kills the guards really fast now, not sure if i was unlucky or not, but theres only a few level 100s and they get rekt

Just checked my realm, there are ten lvl 100 guards.

Just did it myself as a priest with the shitty free 90 gear. Took me two attempts, didnt pull all the guards the first time. Takes around five minutes, only gave me 30 gold though

On my realm (EU - PVP), waited quite some time for the guards to respawn & got Nalak down pretty fast... 16g was the loot ^^

Don't know if I'm the one with this issue.. but I killed him 3 times: 2 of them I died like an idiot and guards finished him but the last one I respecced to tank and I killed him and all three times I had no loot at all :|

On the PVE servers I've been doing him on, I pull him to the guards, make a point of dying right after they start attacking, run back, and he's usually 40-50% still. I wait to res until he's about to die then tag again for good measure. Hasn't failed so far.
