Guide is in red, disclaimers and overview of my life is in default color.
Let me start off by saying that, even though this is not the best kept secret, I couldn't find any posts related to this except for a spreadsheet.
This is part of a short guide series I will be doing, mainly to promote my blog on which I will be posting a wow gold guide every few days or so. The Mysterious Fortune Card method is my first (well second if you count the welcoming message) post on the blog. I hope to get some followers this way. If you are annoyed by the fact that I am doing this to promote my blog, feel free to leave a comment on where to find some publicity.
Also, yes I know my blog is the same as everybody else's. For me its about the content, not about how it looks. I also know that these methods and topics have been used by other bloggers, and I don't know how I'm going to be different than those yet, but for now let's just start with the guide.

Requirements are:
An inscriptionist at level 525.
A fairly decent amount of free time.
Stormvine/Cinderbloom (feel free to use other herbs depending on server prices, as long as they're Cataclysm herbs)
(Volatile life and resillient parchments to craft the darkmoon cards, but most of the time it's profitable to create just the mysterious fortune cards and sell the burning embers raw)
Lets get started:
1. Start by buying the Cataclysm Herbs.
2. Mill these herbs on your inscriptionist with the following macro:
/cast Milling
/use Stormvine
/use Cinderbloom
(Alternatively you could use a different macro or even an addon for this.)
3. Use the Alabaster Pigments to create Blackfallow Ink. Make as much as possible.
4. Buy however much Resillient Parchment you need
5. Create Mysterious Fortune Cards
6. Sell the MFC's and Burning Embers on AH.
Important!: Create a macro 'Mysterious Fortune Cards now on AH in stack sizes of 'insert stack sizes'! Have a chance at winning 'insert what you can get by clicking these things (I never did, never bothered)'! Test your luck now!
or something along those lines would work. Even though I've been succesful selling these without barking(=advertising on trade chat), barking greatly improves sale rates.
A typical situation on a high population server would be where the production of a Blackfallow Ink would cost 4-5g, and a MFC sells for around 7-14g/ea. Remember to take the costs of shitloads of Resilient Parchment into account when calculating prices. (Also, let me know either here or on my blog if you'd like me to add a macro for buying Resilient Parchments really quickly. The reason I don't do this right away is because I'd have to find the macro first. I know it exists tho.)
Another fairly common situation is where your MFC sales don't make you any gold, but the Burning Embers/Inferno Inks/DMF cards are your profit.
Less common is where you are one of the only sellers of MFC's, and the production costs are around 10g, and cards will sell for anywhere between 20 and 35g. I'm sure it's not common and not sustainable, but I've seen it happen.
Optional: Create Darkmoon Faire cards with the Burning Embers by crafting them into Inferno Ink and using those along with Volatile Life and Resillient Parchment.
Optional: Sometimes it's more profitable to sell Inferno Inks instead of Burning Embers due to your server's market being very weird and messed up.
Optional: Sometimes it's more profitable to trade blackfallow inks for other inks at the ink trader. You can either trade them for low level inks and make glyphs, or you can trade them for inferno inks and make more Darkmoon Faire cards. It's hard to predict DMF card prices tho, since they usually shoot up during the actual Darkmoon Faire. Also, I wouldn't suggest making glyphs unless you have alot of free time on your hands. Selling glyphs means babysitting your AH basically all day on high-pop servers.

I hope the community takes this guide well and will go easy on me as this is my first post. Please follow me on http://gaemingblog.blogspot.com/ if you are interested in simple and efficient ways of making gold.
Thanks for reading.
PS: Next time I post a guide, I will leave out all the disclaimers and such, in the hope of making the guides look more compact. I'll give the actual guide a different color for those who don't care about all the other things I said.
