Chance of extra gold from dungeon group

I've been away from WoW for awhile (1+ year) and started playing again last week, I've never really found any cool exploits/bugs to share on here.. until now!

Basically this will work with any instance but the best ones are the ones where after you kill the boss, the loot spawns in a chest or something like that (Ex: Mogu'shan Palace). I found this while leveling my mage through dungeons. Make sure to have auto loot turned off.

After you kill the boss you need to hurry and "loot" the drops but make sure to not loot the gold drop. What I mentioned about chests earlier, its best for them because no other player can "loot" it while you're still looking in it. So, hopefully everyone starts to move on and wait to follow after they've got some distance so they don't try to loot it. Then, at the end of the instance, wait for everyone to leave and walk back through the instance and loot the gold.

You don't stay on the chest for the rest of the instance, you just have to wait a few seconds while everyone else leaves so that no one else turns around to loot it.

I'm curious now... Could you do a dragon soul 25 heroic raid, and just sit with the chest at the end and get 3k gold from it?

You can solo every dungeon on HC, I'm tanking as moonkin last 3 months without problem. Sometime i just run some for fun, its super EZ and takes like 2-3min longer to do it...

Yes you could. The exact gold amount would 25*125g=3125g.

~125g per boss, except deathwing whom is ~150g...

Gonna try to find a random DS group and attempt this...

How long would it take just for Deathwing?

Could I save a raid lockout at Deathwing and get a friend to help me spread the lockout to all 11 of my 90's? Then oqueue groups up for a few hours to get 33k gold every week?

Yes you could save a lockout through a friend. Run with a group there with your friend, but have him leave after spine.. then next week have him form the group, but not actually participate in the raid, repeat 11 times xD
This is assuming that saving the gold actually works... As raidlead on oqueue it shouldn't be hard to test, just kick people that don't leave XD
