Make your bot a player
Disclaimer : Please understand this guide was written based on player testimonials and comon sense, and should in no way guarantee you will avoid a ban. Should you get banned and would like to use our restoration services for the account that followed this guide, your chances of recovery will increase.
Hello everyone, and welcome to our “How to be a player” guide. Here, we will focus on making your toons look like they are human. There are a few key things you should pay attention to, and we will go into full detail below. Without any order, lets being.
Time online
As you know, nobody plays 24/7. What you should do is find the sweet spot and make some logic out of your online time. For instance, if you work 8 hours per day and sleep 8 hours per day, max you can play is 8. For the purpose of this guide, we will pick 7 hours per day. If you bot 7 hours during work days, you are free to increase it to lets say 13 hours during weekends. The logic behind a script to catch bots is simple human logic, so if you spend 40-50 hours per week on a game, that should be reasonable. However, if you spend 80-120 hours a week online, that is suspicious.
Inexplicable patterns
Avoid them. At any cost. In the previous section, 7h/day and 12h/weekend can be easily explained by the player working and taking time off during weekends to play more. What can’t be explained is why you login each day at 7:05 am, farm for 120 minutes, do all your auctions, do 60 minutes of pvp. And then do that every day. You need to randomize stuff as much as possible, which can be a pain if you are using some type of schedule to run your bots. Look further for software that allows you to do this, most task schedulers have “randomize” somewhere in the options. Also, make a break once in a while, where you leave your account offline for a day or two. Do whatever it takes to break the pattern. When you are at home or have enough time to mess with it, find someone who’s spamming trade chat and sell him some mats (COD). Instead of mailing your mats to alt, use guild bank sometimes. Randomize!
Invest in your character
What most botters tend to do is get greedy. While that is easy to understand, you should look at botting as an investment. You pay money for the account, account pays itself off, who cares if it gets banned right? Wrong. If everyone used that model, world would end up nowhere. You want to get the maximum out of minimum investment, so eg powerleveling you char and letting it farm naked is not something you should do. I was able to pull 12 months of pushing 200-300 auctions every day, but I had 10000 achievements to top that off. There are more then enough reputation, achievement, mount grind scripts available, so run them once in a while. Take some gold you produce and toss it back, buy Vial of Sands, maybe some epic gem. Do something a player would do, as players tend to burn their gold on fashion mostly, go run some old raid and transmogrify all your gear. Vial of Sands is probably the thing that makes your account immune to any suspicion, since not many people tend to throw away that much gold if it can make them money.
Socialize
It is very important to talk to people. There are more then enough chat monitors available, such as ZNFK, that will let you attach your accounts to any IRC server you desire. After that, you may get X-chat or mIRC for PC and any other client you prefer for your cellphone, and you will be able to monitor chat all the time (warning : BURNS your data). What you shouldn’t do is reply to all whispers - nobody does that. It is okay to ignore people too, as players tend to use that funcionality of the game. Where you should invest your time is your guild. Pick 1h every few days to talk to them, tell them a story, whatever you please. Tell them something you told your best friend, tell them a funny thing that happened to you today. It may sound obnoxious, but more you make a name for yourself within the community, higher the chance that nobody will report you.
Write everything down
I can’t stress this enough. You can’t remember everything, so write it down. Make a schedule for doing stuff, write down names, gear, achievements, mounts, quests you are working on, reputations, time taken to do it etc. If you camp lets say Time-Lost Proto Drake, and catch it after 5 days, write it down. You can always create your own leverage that way. You can’t explain why you created 100000 gold and its now gone somewhere, so don’t bother writing that down. But as many other details as you can, it will help with account restoration and lifecycle a lot. I’m sure there is a plugin for tracking statistics somewhere.
Prepare for ban
Some of the info can’t be seen from your battle.net account. What is necessary to write down for each account is the following :
- Account holder name
- Account holder age
- Account holder’s birthday
- Account holder's registered address
- Secret question and answer
If you are not the original owner, and do not have this information, please try to obtain it before you get banned. Once the account gets suspended/closed, if you wish to use our restoration services, DO NOT log in again. If you use separate e-mails for each account, and you use them for battle.net only, you may forward them (except yahoo) to your main e-mail adress and you will see once the closure is placed. Save the e-mail and contact us immediately.
Don’t use public stuff
Never use stock scripts, profiles. There are times on highly populated realms where ten or more characters fly together going for the same node and similar. This can get you reported many, many times, which will inevitably lead to your account investigation and possible closure. Always make small modifications to the profiles, custom classes, and scripts you use. Always keep in mind that most of the custom classes aren’t general, so try to find the one you need, PVP for PVP, and PVE for raids, dungeons. PVE cc will act poorly in battlegrounds and attract attention you do not want.
How AbsoluteGamers can help
As you can see, the process of prolonging the accounts lifecycle can be somewhat complicated.
Luckily, we are here to help you with your cause.
Rent-a-channel - We allow anyone to rent a channel on our IRC server for a small monthly fee. Unlike public IRC servers, this one is secure and used only for bot monitoring with active administrators, so you won’t be bothered by anyone.
Rent-a-person - If you rent an IRC channel, we allow you to rent an operator to answer all your whispers. This is available only to those who rent the channel, for a small monthly fee.
Schedule - Buy a schedule for each of your accounts, both in written and ARelog form. Written by professionals, this schedule will ensure your accounts engage more then enough random activity in order to avoid getting banned.
Buy a profile - We offer everything customized specially for your needs. We sell custom classes tailored by professional World of Warcraft players for specific purpose such as battleground or arena, that will perform much better then default (singular) and you will look like a pro, rather than a noob.
Restoration - And finally, if somehow everything else fails, you can always use our Restoration services. We sell them in two forms : you can either pay per account or per unbanned account. If you choose to pay per account, we can do as many as you like, but we keep the money even if the unban process fails. If you choose to pay per unbanned account, we can only do one at a time, unless you are a registered partner for our gold service and have store credits available, but you pay only if we succeed in unbanning. We will write the tickets, we don’t use templates, and we have a very high success rate.
You may contact us via E-mail/MSN for restoration services : [email protected]
You can find more information about our Restoration Services right here (Restoration Services and more!).
Thank you for taking time to read this guide and good luck out there!
Warning DO NOT use the tickets we write for any other account. Beside them being our intellectual property, they will fail when used on other accounts, as a real person is writing those tickets customized for each account. DO NOT publish or share a profile once you purchase it, as it will become public and will have no effect on your account security.
