:wave:hello Everyone just me here with a little guide to Roleplaying.

First off you it will help if you had some Friends who want to start Roleplaying with you.

Now you find a Nice roleplay server.Now Think about

Character

e.g. my Rper

Name: Nindle

Age: middle aged for a gnome

History:an Ex Engineer of Stonemasons guild/Defias after helping rebuild Stormwind and not getting paid
Joined with Rebel VanCleef Becoming his Engineering wing Leader. After helping with so many Cruel Things he Wiped is memory after leaving clues to remember when he needed too.

i then also set myself a Roleplay story to follow he is rediscovering his history and a sub leader of SI:7 ((made a guild)).


Now after you have decided what you're character will be you Create the Character and level up a bit i tend to get to level ten before proper Roleplaying.then you can establish some Roleplay Friends best bet is joining a Roleplay guild or Hanging Round Goldshire.

After you have established Friend then you Work out the rest by yourself i guess. you need to be able to think up on the spot or think about the future to roleplay good but anyone can Roleplay.


And my last bit of information is

Roleplay Etiquette.

Try to keep typos to the minimum and Stay
in character meaning talk prooperly and dont abbreviate ((E.g. no lol rofle pew pew)) dont talk of game things ((E.g. ''i got level 25 at last lol'' ''i have two quest to hand in then im grinding DM five times''))
but if you do wish to talk out of character you can talk in General or in /s with double brackets arounfd the out of character bits ((E.g. ''At last the foul VanCleef is dead ((Now iv just got to hand in his head and il level))'' or ''i am Tired i must rest ((GTG cyall))''))

Remember

/s = incharacter((ic)) unless you use brackets
/p = depends on group
/g = same as above
/1 = out of Character((ooc))
/2 = same as /1

Clothing
in RP its the looks rather than the stats that count .i think i will amke a Guide later with a list of diffrent Good outfits...((not in the mood now))
let me just give you the best one.
anyold black boots and a tuxedo and when you can get a hat.
Clothing will depend one what sort of character you are say your an Expert in sTealth then Full defias isnt to flashy and makes a good set.or if your fancy Priest but allince get a Belf Starting robe from a neutral AH.Personally i have 2 sets of clothes Fighting and RPing but i used to have three Real Fighting/ RP showoff fighting suit/Rp. ofcourse you dont need any but it makes an impact if you look good((like RL)).

What is Roleplay?
Role play is eccential You playing as your character not a guy at a computer.so no talk of levels or Phat loot more of what nice weather it is or that murlocs have been growing in numbers.

it work the same way as wikipedia meaning anyone can change it or read it if you are going to start RP look up thing on here so your Backround story fits...



Rp FightsNow...During Role Play you may need to Roleplay fight this is something you need to know how to do. First off you need a basic Skill at /me.
/me
/me is used like this type /me (then put what you want here) and it woudl come out like a Custom Emote
e.g. /me licks his fingers woudl come out
Seandasheep92 Licks his fingers Note that Horde cant see this. Also you might want to use %t as it would come out as the targets name try is in just say whil looking at a chicken.
Back to the fight.

While Rp fighting you must use /me to do fighting moves but it must be more of an asking move then a doing move((Doesnt really make sences so))

e.g.

/me Trys to Grab your fist = good
/me grabs your fist =not so good

but it works the other way aswell say someone ''Tried'' to grab you fist you must decide if they succeed or not you can say they miss but if you do this allthe time it is like a level 1 dueling a level 70 the point of an Rp fight is that it is Fairer and you are equal.

Speaking
We know now that we must be Grammatically corrects and little to no Typos but each Character will speak Diffrently lets take a common sentence like
''yes i walk would be nice''
would be diffrent for diffrent races

Gnome= Indoubidably a Stroll would be Splendid ((like showing off lond wors))

Dwarf= A'ye a Hike would be Great.((Simpler talking))

Troll= 'ey Mon let us be walking together ((Jamaican))

also your Character might have a stutter
Y-y-yes a-a Walk-k Wou-would be Ni-nice.


Addons
ImmersionRP-will help you By letting you add title and description to char the more people you get to use it the more likley you will se decription and wow will add it in itself.

Eloquence a chat customizer




Now when i can be assed i will do a lot of reasearch on thott wowhead and alla and make a long list of good looking sets with links for you all but this will be another Thread. i hope you all like and i get someone of you doing it. it is actually Quite fun. I brought all my characters up in an RP server.... Rolling on an RP Server doesnt mean everyone will go cyber >.<
