Newsneezs Heroic Siege of Orgrimmar Guide
This guide will only be covering HEROIC boss mechanics, tactics an overview of the fight and a video Link.
The guide will be extended, as I progress further into SoO, but as of this moment I’ll be covering 11/14 Heroic boss encounters on 25 man difficulty(Strategies may vary on 10 man).
Immerseus, Your First Encounter.
Immerseus 10 Man Heroic Siege of Orgrimmar Guide - FATBOSS - YouTube (Fatboss)
General Information:
Health:
Immerseus: 268 Million.
Sha Puddles: 1 Million
Congealed Sha: 3.5 Million.
The boss has a fixed enrage on 10 minutes and has no softenrage(Enrage can be survived with immunity effects).
Raid Setup:
For the encounter, you’d want to bring atleast 2 tanks, 5-6 healers and 16-17 Dps(Range preferred fight).
Fight Overview:
Immerseus has to phases, which will be rotated until the boss dies.
Your boss progress will always be reflected, in the bosses corruption resource bar(Energy bar), which starts out at 100, and will slowly decrease as the fight goes on. It all comes down to how well you perform in phase 2.
The Fight:
Phase 1, Immerseus.
For this encounter you want your tanks to stand infront of the boss as he stands, when not engaged and have them tank swapping as soon as one gets Corrsive Blast.
The entire raid will be positioned to the LEFT of tanks, spread out on the two “pies”.
During this phase, any dps will be spawning puddles, upon hitting the boss.
These puddles will eventually grow into Congealed Shas, which can be aoe’d down next to the boss.
- On 25 man, Immerseus will be on about 10% before these Sha’s spawn.
After the last Corrosive blast, spread your dps and healers out on the entire platform.
If you have warlocks put up Gates from the stacking point to around the platform.
Phase 2, Blobs
Use Warlock portals to reach around the platform.
During the split, healers will be healing the Blue Blobs, and Dps will damage the Black Blobs.
At the very end of the Split phase, gather back up on positions for phase 1.
Repeat phase 1 & 2 Untill boss dies.
The Fallen Protectors.

Raid Setup:
1-2 Tanks, 5-7 Healers, 15-18 Dps.
This fight is very similar to the normalmode tactics.
All the bosses will phase into their second phases, upon individually reaching 66%, and 33% hp.
You’ve got the following three bosses, which depending on your dps, will be stacked up, or having them spread out.
Rook Stonetoe:
Health: 701 M
Rooks main ability is Vengeful Strikes, a frontal cone attack that deals moderate dmg to anyone standing infront of him.
Tank him faced away from the raid.
Rook Stonetoe phase 2.
Rook Stonetoes disappears and spawns 3 Adds:
Emodied Misery, Emodied Sorrow & Emodied Gloom.
During this phase, you’ll Sorrow, Gloom and He Softfoot(Boss) and stack them up, and aoe down Sorrow and Gloom. Move on to Misery as the other two are being defeated.
He Softfoot:
Health: 696 M
He Softfoot, will shadowstep to randomly selected raidmembers, and apply “Garrote”, an undispellable debuff that ticks for 108k Physical Damage every 2 seconds. This debuff must be healed through, and will be automatically removed upon reaching his phase 2.
During Garrotes, you’ll also get a poison debuff, which can be dispelled rather quickly.
Now and then, he will attempt to Gouge his main target, as soon as it is being casted have your tank to turn his back against the boss, if failed the boss will fixate on a random raid member until taunted back.
He Softfoot Phase 2.
The boss will disappear and spawn an add, which will fixate on random party members until passed on to a new player.
The easiest way to deal with this mechanic, is to have players with immunity effects to “tank” this mob.
For this role you can use Mages(Iceblock), Hunters(Deterrence) and paladins(Bubble).
If no immunity effect is left, you can throw it to the tank, and have it being thrown back and forth between the two tanks.
Sun Tenderheart:
Health: 688 M
This mob cannot be moved, and will always stand in the middle of the room.
Have atleast 2 Dps, sit on her(on 25 man), and have them interrupt as many Sha Sear’s as they can.
She will sometimes apply a magic debuff to raidmembers, Shadow Word: Bane, which can be dispelled.
For Calamitys, they’ll progressively deal more and more damage. This damage resets as the boss phases into the second phase. (Alternatively use cooldowns for this spell).
Sun Tenderheart phase 2:
In her phase 2, you’ll be positioning your entire raid inside the bubble she creates.
Have all your rangeds stand inside this, and kill the three channeling adds outside the bubble, order doesn’t really matter here.
We had our tank, to tank all the manifested emotions outside the bubble together with 1/3 of the channeling adds, and AoE them down.
Boss Phase 2 Order:
Stack the three bosses and AoE them down to 74% each, Proc Rook Stonetoes phase 2 first, deal with his adds.
Next proc will be Sun Tenderheart, as her Calamity will begin to hit for large amounts if procced as the 3rd.
Lastly proc He Softfoot.
As your gear increases, the order doesn’t matter much.
