Karazhan - Chess Event

Since now allot of people will be doing Kara due to the new companions that where released with 5.3 I thought I'd put this here.

By now you all know that Chess Event (BOSS) is the most annoying thing to do solo when you can control only one dice and that's the warchief/king.

So basically all you need to do is

1. Talk to Warchief/king and ride them as your piece.
2. Instantly log out
3. Log back in and choose the piece "soldier" in front of the warchief/king that is blocking the path making you unable to move when he cheats with fire ( killing you aka you lose the game ) move him away.
4. Log back out / Log back in
5. Choose Warchief/king when he cheats with fire move him out.

OPTIONAL:

You can always choose other pieces to play once you log out and log back in they will all be available to play after that and not just the warchief/king

You can control all pieces without logging out.just remove your "Controls a ***" Buff an you will be be able to move a new piece with a debuff off 8 seconds waiting time.
EDIT: This is the Buff you will be looking for Control Piece

if you dont like the chess event, you can easily skip the event. Just log out front of the door, log back in walk through door = win. (sry for english :P) . Dont know if this already know

probably due to xpearl - bartender couldn't remove it, but that's great will do this next time

Once you remove the buff you need to wait 6 seconds or so before taking another piece. So dont be worrying when you get to the other piece fast and cant take it right away.

Blizzard also made some changes to the Chess event: (from mmo-champion)

Karazhan
Chess Event: Medivh's buff to damage on chess pieces has been reduced to 100%, down from 200%.
Chess Event: Damage from Medivh's fire has been reduced to 4k, down from 10k.

In an earlier update they also increased the time between attacks from the enemy pieces i think. It's really doable to solo it now tbh. I used to solo it before these changes but granted it often took me a few tries.

Once you remove the buff you need to wait 6 seconds or so before taking another piece. So dont be worrying when you get to the other piece fast and cant take it right away.

Takes you pretty much 6 seconds to jump down from the platform and run to the piece you want anyways...

Way I do it is just

talk to king/wc to start
move pawn in front of king/wc
Move pawn in front of the caster (left of King/Right of wc)
Control king for reset of fight using blood/hero + attack and just move out of the fire when needed.

Works finde with my Undead but not with my Tauren. Maybe because the Model is too big?

Its more than 6 seconds its more 8.Many a time I'm back at a piece and still have to wait.

I always need to disable bartender to do the chess event. The "leave vehicle" button seems to be bugged while using bartender. Maybe this also works with a cancelaura macro. Need to test this next time.

My method of doing it (was able to do it prior to these nerfs) is to just move the pawns in front of king and queen ahead, wait until the king gets into range of your queen and nuke him.

Move both pieces out of fire, obviously. You can also cast Bloodlust once on your king and drop control and he will keep casting Bloodlust for your queen so it makes it a bit faster.

Debuff is 10 seconds.
