Battleground explaination for noobs

well i just thought of this right ont the spot =) (mightve spelled these wrong lol)

Warsong Gulch: Objective: grab oposing team's flag and take it to your base while your flag is not picked up. first to capture 3flags wins

Araithi Baisin: Objective: capture as many bases as you can while gaining resorces, the more bases controled, the more resorces you get. the first team with 2000 resorces wins

Alterac Vally: Objective: basicly its taking bases that are closer to the opposing faction's base. the first group to kill the oposing factions general wins. Note:alliance usually win. atleast all the battles i go to.

Eye of The Storm: Objective: Take as many bases as you can the more bases the more points you get. (this is sort of like Araithi Baisin) the only difference is is that there are only 4 bases on the map and a flag in the middle of the battlefield. if you pick up the flag and take it to your own faction's controled base (s) you gain more points. first to 2000 points wins

Arena: Objective: basicly its a battle to test your skills (and gain loot at 70 form arena points after you have an arena team) Note: all spells/abillities that have a cooldown of over 10mins will not be able to be used in the arena. this counts for potions too (any cooldown). entering the arena also cools down alll abilities/items that are under 10minute cooldown.

Battleground weekends: on weekends a specific battleground will have (dubble honor gain) this is the battleground you want to praticipate in for more honor. you can tell what weekend it is by looking around your capital cities.

Leaving battlegrounds: bored with a battleground or just want to leave it? no problem just type /AFK to leave the battleground(or if you are afk for 5mins and go auto-Afk) Warning: going out of battlegorunds while they are still in session will give a de-buff, making you not able to enter battlegrounds for 15minutes.

Unconfirmed: you can enter Arena with DESERTER still on.

For every battle you win in WSG/AV/AB/EOTS. you will get 3 marks of honor, for ever battle you lose you get on they are unuice(100) so you can carry 100 of each. you can use these by buying PVP rewards along with paying honor points with them.

i would avoid PVPing in 10-19 and 20-29 because there are many twinks in these level ranges, which i think just ruins the gameplay of the battleground. but if you want some easy honor to get an armor upgrade from a PVP reward go ahead =)

Level for BGs: Warsong gulch 10+, Araithi Baisin 20+, Alterac vally 50+, Eye of the storm 61+, Arena 10+

i hope that this guide has helped you better understand the gameplay of each of the battlegrounds:wave:

Whoops forgot to add: Warsong gulch is 10man, Araithi Baisin is 15man, Alterac vally is 40man, Eye of The Storm is 15man, and Arena can consist of 2, 3, and 5.

And in ALL of my battlegrounds leveling about three characters 1-60 (or 70) i've ran into a grand total of about 3 people that didn't know what was going on in the battleground they were in, and two were probably in AV where it's understandable if your team is just standing there fighting the other team not gaining any ground.
