Farming Alani Stormborn mount

I don't quite understand how the selling part works though since they're BoP. The corpses won't be laying around for 20hours+ either for them to loot nor can they if they joined the group later? or are they supposed to watch u farm and loot it all? >.<

Just one question.. Do you really need to be exalted with The August Celestials AND Order of the Cloud Serpents to be able to use this mount? That just seems stupid.. I would love for this to be usable "only" by farming the shards and killing Alani.

Just seems weird, since once you get exalted with those factions, you can buy the mounts anyway.

Yes you need to get exalted with both factions. You'll learn how to ride Cloud Serpents at the end of the Order of Cloud Serpents questline.
If you are not exalted with August Celestials, you are still able to loot the mount from Alani but can not learn it. So say sources.

ive been farming this area on my server, got 5 so far

though ive moved to the living dudes near guo-lay crypts or whatever its called so i can farm keys at the same time.

Hi there.

Tested this spot for an hour today an here is my data.
I stopped at 1 hour mark to see how many kill per hour this would yield. I got up to 210 kills per hour,
During that time i got a shard at 51'st minute of farming, it was 177th kill. Furthermore i was using Potion of Luck to see if this would be of help.
Mob gave less that 10 chests making totally useless to use on this mobs. Addition to all that i got 1 Spirit of Harmony. Was farming as Elemental Shaman in full gear for heroics.

Will try again later to see if 1shard/hour will hold.

I can confirm it. The tooltip on wowhead is wrong this is what my says:

Requires The August Celestials - Exalted

Use: Teaches you how to summon this mount.
This is a flying mount. Requires Cloud Serpent
Riding from the Order of teh Cloud Serpent.

Took Snowee (ownedcore member) with his lvl85 to loot the mount. He had no problem looting it and just stayed in his bags. And he did not do one Pandaria quest on that character.

Greetings everyone! So I am a veteran Wow player that recently wanted to try something new so I have a second account which I wanted to try botting a little with.

I use honorbuddy which i bought yesterday and it is working quite fine with the normal classes in PVP but have not tested it anywhere els yet.

So I am just curious if any of you might be able to make me a profile for a windwalker monk that's purpose is to farm these mobs you are speaking of (The Mogu spirits)

And if it is not too much stress then I'd love to get to know how you make such profiles as I have no idea how.

My monk is a night elf (therefore alliance), she is 90 and she has Heroic gear.


If you do this for me, I'll make sure to do something for you again, let it be gold, mounts, boosts or anything like that. A favor for a favor, that's the way I like it and it should be like that!

I already posted a Honorbuddy profile on the 2nd half of the first page.

The profile is meant to run with any class supported by HB. The way how your toons fight, move and so on is solely based on Honorbuddy itself. The profile just gives you the waypoints and mobs you wanna grind on.

If you are interested in creating your own profiles, visit HB forum -> Plugins -> search for ZapRecorder2. Fast and easy way for starters.
There's also a well documented Guides section you should go through.
