Make gold very fast with any "gathering" profession!

Alright well, most low level items you get from Skinning, Mining, Fishing and Herbalism (tell me if I missed one please) sell for a lot more than they should (thats my opinion), for instance: light leather/medium leather, and sell it in the AH. It sells for a lot considering the fact that its EASY to get. I make 100-130G a day on a level 25 if I work VERY hard. And you can go farm low level cloth also. Linen sells for a ton on my server (75s-1g20s a stack) and so does Wool (1g-2g30s). And some advice is to not get "production" skills until your level cap or close to it. The reason is you will make much more gold just with gathering skills because you don't use them to make something then sells for 10s-3g more than it took to make. (10s at very low levels mostly and 3g for higher levels) For instance using your 18 Thick Leather, 2 Thick Wolfhide, 8 Wicked Claws, 4 Heavy Silken Thread and 2 Cured Thick Hide you make Wolfshead Helm (Thottbot World of Warcraft: Wolfshead Helm) which costs around 28g to make on average. Then you go to sell it and find out it sells for 10-13g! (based off thottbot) You could have just sold 18 Thick Leather, 2 Thick Wolfhide, 8 Wicked Claws, and 2 Cured Thick Hide and made 27 gold! Thanks for reading everyone and hope it helps. And please don't flame me about saying this is useless for high levels because right now I'm saying it is for low levels to medium levels. I think the reason that this works is people get to 70 and don't focus on professions so they need to learn one, but to get their skill up fast they just go buy the low level mats at the auction house.

Indeed, I like to mine, so for an alt I created a Troll Hunter, when I hit level 5 I already had 2 stacks of copper ore (40 ore) and they sell for 2.2g a stack...It's so easy to make gold at low levels nowadays!

Yah, i rkn thats jus about right, cuz most ppl get to 70 without lvlin their profesions and when there 70 and they dont mind spending a few gold for the crappy mats they need ta get

fishing can get you a lot of money,you just need to sell the right fish(oily blackmouth,deviate fish,savory deviate delight),and you also get treasure from fishing too,sometimes

Get your skill to ~130 and go fish in Wailing Caverns, get a fishing bot and leave it there over night or something. Deviate fish sells for insane amounts, at lvl 70 people really dont have anything to spend gold on :P

If you can cook the fish, it becomes even better, I sell mine for 25-30g per stack, easy money for a couple of nights of sleep :P

good idea, i will do it... i'd say herbalism and mining would be a good combo, so you can run around and get everything there is to get, just have to switch views from time to time. Skinning and herbalism would be good, too.

So, people are more interested in using autolevelers, etc. than playing the game?

Low level items are definitely useful for easy gold. Copper Bars seem to be one of the most lucrative items I have found. I used this economic ploy to fully fund a 19 twink awhile back with out having to waste my high level characters gold. I set my character up in Ironforge, clicked on the BG queue. While I waited I took my character over to Qol'Bolar Quarry. I believe there is atleast 12 veins that spawn there, several more inside the cave and around 7 on the way there. The troggs go down easy as they are levels 9-10 mostly, plus if you have the bag space, keep the trash and sell it to the cook at the top of the quarry. Depending on how long it took in the queue some days I could wind up with 3-4 stacks of copper before a BG started.

It also helps to have plenty of bag space, cause trash is still cash when you can carry it to the vendor.
