A simple method to make gold: in the next patch Blizzy will transform some objects in Binds-on Pick Up. Craft many of it and you can sell it at high prices after the patch.

The note:
"In the next major content patch the following items will be flagged as Bind on Pick-up (BoP). They are currently not bound at all.

· Felbane Slugs

· Recipe: Elixir of Major Agility (This must be a gold mine )

· Formula: Enchant Bracer - Superior Healing

· Hellfire Shot"

I dont get it, if theyre becoming BoP, how can you sell them after the patch?

u can sell always anything bopor w/e he means it is more gold when its bop so collect them and w8 for the patch and after patch its bop and so hi says the item will be more valueable so u can make gold out of that

I dont think you have understood what you said there, what the blizzard employee was saying was

So there really is no way to make money out of this but i guess if everyone knew this they all would be frantically trying to get their hands on one of these before the patch. Once the patch comes through they will all become BoP

the recipe is going to be BOP, not the elixir itself.

Well, for one, all these items are reputation rewards. Most reputation rewards are BoP except for these. IMO, the elixir and enchanting recipes might be worth something, but whoever buy them will have to be at the appropriate level with the appropriate faction. I don't know many people who don't check faction quartermasters upon reaching a new reputation level, so IMO, this seems quite useless.

Good attempt at helping though. Keep that mindset and find more new stuff!

I think I can see what the OP meant. That certain things would become BOP (Bind when picked up/bought for the newer players) instead of the way they are now.

Be sure you have the recipes vs results right before you post, peeps ;p Will save you (and us) a lot of time

(Before anyone flames me for this simple explanation let me say this - not everyone visiting this site knows everything and although there are topics catering for "n00bs" and "newbs" it doesn't take much to explain stuff now and then does it?)

OK, lets clarify this a bit.

This econ trick is about buying or farming hi quality gear that is about to become BoP.

This works because patch changes generally only apply on new dropped/buyed items and are not retroactive on objects you have in bags/bank.

This DOESN'T WORKS for reputation items! Rep items have a rep requirement to use them, so u can buy the bullets or recipes and give it away, but the other char WON'T be able to use or read them ayway if he does'nt meet the rep requirement (In the case he does, he can buy the item himself)

Arent these from honored or higher rep rewards from Honor Hold/Thrallmar? Holy crap your stupid, just go to the damn rep reward NPC and buy the damn things. This thread is officially closed for incredable stupidity. "ZOMG but you can sell them on the AH!!!!" yea you can, but do people who have the rep to use them? If they dont they wont buy them like a retard. And if they have the rep they have the flight path so they can just go get the items by themselves.
