Firstoff this is not my guide. The original Guide has been made by Oratory @ MMO-Champion.

Its a really good guide and it contains alot of info's. A dream for every mount collector (like myself).

Mists of Pandaria Mount Guide

Purchasable

Cloud Serpents:
The Order of the Cloud Serpent provides a series of quests and dailies to grow and nurture your own Cloud Serpent. At the end of the chain you will be exalted, your serpent will turn into a mount and you'll be taught Cloud Serpent Riding; which is required to use all varieties of cloud serpents. You can buy the other cloud serpent colors.

Reins of the Azure Cloud Serpent: 3,000g
Reins of the Golden Cloud Serpent: 3,000g
Reins of the Jade Cloud Serpent: 3,000g

Dragon Turtles:
Dragon Turtles are the Pandaren racial mounts. If you're not Pandaren you must be exalted with the Tushui Pandaren (Alliance) or Huojin Pandaren (Horde). They can be purchased in Stormwind from Old Whitenose or in Orgrimmar from Turtlemaster Odai.

Jaluu the Generous sells Riding Cranes if you are exalted with Golden Lotus.

Riding Goats:
Gina Mudclaw sells Riding Goats if you are exalted with The Tillers.

Shado-Pan Riding Tigers:
Rushi the Fox sells Riding Tigers if you are exalted with Shado-Pan.

Reins of the Blue Shado-Pan Riding Tiger: 500g
Reins of the Green Shado-Pan Riding Tiger: 1,500g
Reins of the Red Shado-Pan Riding Tiger: 2,500g

Thundering Cloud Serpents:
These require Cloud Serpent Riding to ride.

Sage Lotusbloom sells Reins of the Thundering August Cloud Serpent for 10,000g if you are exalted with The August Celestials.
Guild vendors sell Reins of the Thundering Jade Cloud Serpent for 10,000g once your guild has unlocked Guild Glory of the Pandaria Raider.

Water Striders:
Nat Pagle sells Water Striders if you are exalted with The Anglers.

Reins of the Golden Water Strider: 5,000g
Reins of the Jade Water Strider: 5,000g
Reins of the Orange Water Strider: 5,000g
Reins of the Crimson Water Strider: 5,000g
Reins of the Azure Water Strider: 5,000g

Yaks:
Uncle Bigpocket sells Yaks in Kun-Lai Summit. The Grand Expedition Yak includes a repair vendor and an arcane reforger; allowing you and others to sell, repair and reforge your gear anywhere you can mount.

Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak: 120,000g
Reins of the Blonde Riding Yak: 3,000g
Reins of the Grey Riding Yak: 3,000g

Other

Ambersmith Zikk sells Reins of the Amber Scorpion for 10,000g if you are exalted with The Klaxxi.
Tan Shin Tiao sells Disc of the Red Flying Cloud for 600g if you are exalted with The Lorewalkers.

Total cost of all purchasable mounts before faction and guild discounts is 201,916g
After discounts the cheapest price for all purchasable mounts is 168,541g

Crafted
All crafted mounts require Orbs of Mystery, however these are not yet available on beta. They are expected to be a gold sink. The orbs are not required for anything other than these mounts.

Engineering:
Each specialization of engineering can create a different rocket mount.

Depleted-Kyparium Rocket (Goblin)
Geosynchronous World Spinner (Gnomish)

Jewelcrafting:
Gemcutters can create five Flying Panther mounts.

Jade Panther
Ruby Panther
Sapphire Panther
Sunstone Panther
Jeweled Onyx Panther: note that this last one requires the first four as reagents. To to get all five you must craft the first four twice.

Achievements & Quests
Several achievements reward mounts upon completion. They will arrive in the mail as soon as the achievement is awarded.

Complete Glory of the Pandaria Hero, the heroic 5-man meta for Reins of the Crimson Cloud Serpent. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.
Complete Glory of the Pandaria Raider, the Tier-14 raid meta for Reins of the Heavenly Crimson Cloud Serpent. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.
Complete Pandaren Ambassador / Pandaren Ambassador, the Pandaren reputation meta for Pandaren Kite String / Pandaren Kite String.
Complete Challenge Conqueror: Silver, the silver medal challenge mode meta for Ancestral Phoenix Egg. This egg can be turned in for ONE of the following:

Complete Surprise Attack!, a quest in Townlong Steppes for Reins of the Onyx Cloud Serpent. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.

Enemy Drops
As usual, some mounts drop from bosses or rare mobs.

Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent drops from Sha of Anger, a world raid boss in Kun-Lai Summit. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.
Son of Galleon's Saddle drops from Salyis' Warband, a world raid boss in Valley of the Four Winds.
Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent drops from Elegon, the 5th boss in Mogu'shan Vaults. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.

Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent drops from Alani, rare elite in Vale of Eternal Blossoms *UNCONFIRMED*. This requires Cloud Serpent Riding to use.
- Alani is immune to all attacks. However, every mob in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms has a small chance to drop a Skyshard. Find 10 of them and merge them into a Sky Crystal. Use the Crystal on Alani to break her shield and then she can be killed.
