    Easy Way to Install WoW/BC/FT

Hiya all! With the upcoming expansion, i thought I'd let you in on a little tip. Ever get annoyed having to switch the discs while downloading? Or maybe it's not working right, and it won't start downloading from the next disc? Follow this little guide then!

    1. Insert CD1 of the Burning Crusade
    2. Make a new folder on your desktop and name it something like "Burning Crusade Installer."

    3. Open up the disk itself:
    - Windows users should go into My Computer, right-click the CD, and choose "Open."
    - Mac users can simply double-click the CD on their desktop.
    4. Go to the Edit menu and choose "Select all", so all the files are highlighted.
    5. Go to the Edit menu and choose "Copy."
    6. Open the new folder you created on your desktop
    7. Go to the Edit menu and choose "Paste."
    8. The files should copy from the CD to that folder.
    9. Once this is complete, please put in the next install disk.
    10. Open up the disk (using the process in step 2 above).
    11. Select the file called "Installer Tome" with the number at the end.
    12. Go to the Edit menu and choose "Copy."
    13. Open the new folder you created on your desktop
    14. Go to the Edit menu and choose "Paste."
    15. The "Tome" file will copy over.

Repeat steps 8-14 to get the "Installer Tome" files off of the remaining install disks. If you receive any error while copying any of these files, that typically indicates damage to the disk.

But, if you were able to successfully copy all the files to the new folder on your hard drive, try running the installation program straight from there by opening the folder and double clicking on the file "installer.exe". If you are on Windows XP, it may be listed as an application named "installer". This should work and it will download without stopping to ask you to put another disc in.

[If this was posted before I'm sorry][This is a modified version of a Blizz response to the question "I can't get BC to install]:tard:

Quite useful if you don't have the time to stay infront of the pc for the "insert cd ..." part.

    Will try it once.

Re: Easy Way to Install WoW/BC/FT

I've done this for a while, because my disk drive is buggered. I insert the disks one by one into another computer on the network, and copy the tomes across to my hard-drive, then whilst its installing, I just go away and skate or something.

Why not just rip iso's of the discks save them on another hard drive on your comp. Open the first cd with daemon tools, start installer and repeat when it asks for disk 2,3,4, so on. This will make it install 10x faster. Ive done this with all my games... no more disks for me.
